Just that really. I obviously don’t buy the magazines that must print all the insider gossip. From what I’ve seen of her I’ve liked, and felt some sympathy for her. Am I wrong?

She can't behave in public properly and it gives off a bad impression.

- crossed her legs in public twice
- always fiddles with her hat
- PDAs (which the royal family hate)

Besides, she is so unlikely to ever be married to a king that does it really matter? Just leaver her (and her husband) alone.

Its because she's a black, divorced, American woman. And the press are racist, and sexist.

I think she's great and my daughter loves her. I love how she comes across as strong and intelligent. I loved how 'black' her wedding was, and that she can change (potentially) the rigid way the royal family behave.

I think any claims that she is 'fake' stem from her background (Acting) and her background is used in legitimising the fake claims

The OP is right to ask the question. I have seen many, MANY people on Facebook comments, comments on newspaper articles, tabloid commenters etc calling Meghan all sorts of horrible names and judging her. Homewrecker was one of them, gold-digger, social climber and half-breed are 3 others. Perhaps MNers live in a closed of reality where they have no facebook and don't read celebrity articles/comments online, but for most others, you'd have to be living in a vacuum on another planet in another stratosphere to not have come across the horrible hate on the net for Meghan. Kate, nor Diana, nor Fergie got anywhere near this level of hate Meghan gets. I am surprised she gets nice comments on MN.

So we've got a poster saying she is another KM, a clone, and boring or whatever. Then someone saying she can't behave properly in public because she crossed her legs and touched her hat. Or was it touched her legs, and oh well.. whatever....

She doesn't! Well not all the time . Some MNers were absolutely vile about her on countless threads leading up to the wedding

Her family apart from her mother are just vile. I feel sorry for her. I think she looks overwhelmed a lot of the time in public. It's a steep learning curve and the reality of her existence is probably beginning to sink in. So much for 'women having a voice'. She's just judged on what she wears now she's in the Firm.

I've not seen anything bad about her, but then I'm not on social media. I thought she was popular! She's regularly written about in the style and beauty section, none of it rude or unpleasant.

Whilst Kate had years to get used to the role, Meghan has only known Harry a matter of months. Add to the fact she isn't from the UK and has little to do with our culture and relationship with our Royal family, she looks really out of place and awkward. I'd struggle to be that family, goodness knows how she feels.

Her cloning of Kate doesn't work either- She's too petite for the style. Kate has really begun to look like the wife of a King and mother of the King.

I'll be really surprised if Meghan's still here in 5 years and hasn't run back to the USA with or without Harry.

Compared to the broad grin and chutzpah of the engagement shots , she looks changed and not in a good way.

I don't know anyone in RL who has commented negatively about her and the only time I read about her is on fashion websites where they focus on the clothes not the person.
I feel sorry for her. I can imagine she thought marrying a prince would give her a bigger platform for her 'causes' but she's not allowed to say very much, her family have been a nightmare and I can't imagine how stifling it all must feel.

I've noticed that my friends, and opinion-writers in the newspapers, make constant reference to the fact that she's an actress. They seem to be saying that the jury is out on whether we are seeing the real woman or whether we are seeing a performance.

For instance, they'll say that she handled her wedding ceremony well because she can command a stage and play a role, rather than giving her credit for her composure. I don't know how widespread is the opinion that she may be inauthentic.

Lay 'the fuck off' the woman.
Another thread to dissect, analyse and criticise the woman.
Is it because she is half black? He married her and she's probably going to have his babies- so get used to it.
