No real reason why!

I've always loved McQueen and Fairbanks.

I knew someone once with the surname Daylight, which I thought was beautiful

ThriceThriceThice · 14/07/2018 23:14

Penhaligon or anything Cornish sounding

In German there is the surname Bleibtreu - which literally means ‘stay true (faithful),’ which is lovely

sayanythingelse · 14/07/2018 23:14

Devine
Hunter
Power

My surname is unusual and slightly rude. I'd love to have a cool one.

MaMaMaMySharona · 14/07/2018 23:15

I know someone who’s surname is Paris, always thought that was lovely! My partner has an absolutely awful surname and although I would love to have the same surname when we marry, I also dread it!

Geppetto · 14/07/2018 23:15

van den Boom.

I really wish my name was Mrs van den Boom.

lonelyatchristmas · 14/07/2018 23:16

Was always a fan of the name Clooney.. but only if I was being called Mrs George Clooney...😀😀

Hangingaroundtheportal · 14/07/2018 23:18

I used to know someone whose surname was Cakebread.

I came onto say I always wanted to be a McQueen. And I like Kinsella. I like loads of Irish surnames apart from my own maiden name which I really didn't like and everyone mispronounced/misspelt.

Babybearsporij · 14/07/2018 23:18

I've always loved a certain surname, ever since primary school when there was a boy with it in my class. Imagine my feelings when I met and fell in love with a man who had that surname!! So my name is my favourite.

I also love Gillespie, Quinn and Carter.

Distractotron · 14/07/2018 23:19

AnastasiaVonBeaverhausen · 14/07/2018 23:22

Penhaligon and Trevelyan I love.

SaucyJack · 14/07/2018 23:22

Wolfhard- as in Finn from Stranger Things.

That's a name and a half.

Riotgrrrrrl · 14/07/2018 23:22

Montgomery! I love it, it sounds lovely with most first names.

I also like:
Phoenix
Rainbow
Sunshine
Christmas
Dagger

I've met people with all of the above and I really like them all.

Sadly I have none of them.

TheMarrowOfTime · 14/07/2018 23:30

I used to know a girl whose surname was Henry-Sonnenberg, which I thought was marvelous!

Moonflower12 · 14/07/2018 23:31

@Babybearsporij My boss is a Quinn.

We have a Mr and Mrs Love too.

I love my DP's (and my daughter's) surname. Mine is so boring.

Somerville · 14/07/2018 23:31

My favourite English surname is my username on here. It's from, in this case, a wonderful fictional family in the best novels ever.
I met a Mrs Sherlock recently and thought that was cool. And like a PP I wanted to be a Pevensie as a child. Or a Rivers, like in Mallory Towers.
I guess I like surnames with some sort of literary link!

everybodiesdeaddave · 14/07/2018 23:33

Ahh mines been mentioned a few times

DryHeave · 14/07/2018 23:33

Pendragon

vampirethriller · 14/07/2018 23:34

Years ago on a list of competition winners was a woman, first name forgotten, surname St. Bartholomew-Browne. I always thought that was lovely.

1mouse2 · 14/07/2018 23:34

shacklady/shakelady/lovelady,

egdehsdrawkcab · 14/07/2018 23:35

Olives my maiden name, married name a bit plain but it's Irish so unusual to me!

NorbertTheDragon · 14/07/2018 23:36

Hawkins
Murgatroyd

egdehsdrawkcab · 14/07/2018 23:37

But, De Witt, Shakespeare, and Grosvenor are all ace.

LovelyBranches · 14/07/2018 23:37

Darcy. Even without the Pride and Prejudice link it’s a dreamy romantic name.
