Truth be told he hasn't done a bad job so far. He has done exactly what he said he was going to do.
That's exactly the problem.
He has ethics violations longer than his ties.
He has stoked and condoned white supremacy, white nationalists, xenophobes, and racists. Racist hate crimes are on the rise across the country.
He is destroying the environment. His current EPA chief is a former coal lobbyist. (His last one left for the reasons listed above.)
He actively attempts to destroy faith in key American institutions, including the free press and the FBI.
He abandoned Puerto Rico after his brief visit to throw paper towels at them, leaving many for months without electricity.
He has cut taxes for the wealthy at the expense of the poor and working people of America, and then claimed it was for them that he did it.
He brags about sexual assault.
He condones strong men around the world, including many of the men mentioned above. Meanwhile, he undermines faith in democracy and attacks our democratic allies.
He spends an enormous amount of time golfing, and he does it at his own clubs, which we subsidize. (Has visited his clubs once every 4.6 days since the presidency started.)
He mocks the disabled.
He empowers his press secretary to lie to the American people on a regular basis--not spin, but lie, and to do it to their faces.
He has manufactured an immigration crisis where none exists (lowest levels in years). In doing so, he has stoked anti-immigrant sentiment to the point of violence (see racism, above). And he has separated infants from their parents, many of whom have notand some who can notbe reunited. Many of these people are those who are trying to claim asylum.
He has weaponized ICE to the point where many people are not reporting crimes for fear of being deported. This is especially problematic for women, many of whom are now enduring domestic violence because they can't look for police help. They arrested a domestic violence victim at a courthouse. His justice department is nominating unqualified people to the lower courts because of their ideological positions. Several of them have had to withdraw.
He promotes and excuses domestic abusers in his administration.
He has raised, not lowered, partisan temperatures in America. He complains about it, but he loves it. He is perpetually a victim.
His department of the interior has allowed sleeping cubs to be hunted in caves. It's like the worst kind of Bond nonsense.
He has stranded thousands of American troops in limbo. This is true for both trans troops and those who were using the Army for its naturalization program; the latter is a recent phenomenon.
He excuses Russian aggression at every turn, both in public and in diplomacy.
He wants to have a parade with tanks at huge expense because he thinks it will make him look good.
He picks fights with anyone who has ever criticized him, even politely. Nothing is too petty for him. He encourages crowds of thousands to verbally abuse a single young woman reporter; he even attacks sports teams he doesn't like.
He lied to the victims of a school shooting.
He has gotten into a war of words with a madman who has nuclear weapons. He has given away an enormous amount to this man without getting anything substantive in return. Meanwhile, he has completely undermined a nuclear deal which, whatever its flaws, seemed actually to be working and reducing nuclear capabilities.
He is starting a trade war he has no idea how to win.
And finally, he's just generally an asshole.
