Supermarkets closing at 2pm Sunday

All football banter jokes aside, does anyone else think it's crazy that some supermarkets in wales and Scotland are closing at 2pm on Sunday if England make it through to the final.
I think it's full pay for their normal working hours for staff.... but it will disrupt the day. And also customers may want to shop after two.

England fans must be so proud and it will be a massive day for them. But for people outside England... not so.

My nerves are already shattered for tomorrow night & I truly hope we get through to Sunday.

I've just had a look at the Iceland website and it looks like most of their stores in Scotland close at 6pm on a Sunday. They as a business must feel it's worthwhile to close at 2pm

Some shops (which normally stay open until 7ish) are closing early today. My friend, who says she's never known this to happen before - has been told she can close up at 6:30, and she said others may be closing from 6:00 onwards

Many are open 24hrs - you can order online - get delivered

Be nice doendood shops to shut for one day

Smaller ones can’t even manage on Christmas to stay ahir
