Husband sends me a photo and asks if it's me...

Whilst I was away with work this week, my husband sends me a photo of a clothed lady laying on a bed with her arms above her head with her eyes closed (can't see bottom half of the lady). Lady looks similar-ish to me, so he asks, is this me? I reply "No" but ask where he's got the photo from. I actually don't mind where it's from, even if it's from a porn site. Husband is refusing to divulge any more information, even when pressed. This has left me feeling very insecure. Any advice? Am I being unrealistic/paranoid persuing this?

Husband has drunk himself into a stupor after I questioned this tonight, so much so, I have had to pour away all of the alcohol left in the house after he went out into the street and started f-ing and jeff'ing at a guy putting a flying on his car windscreen. FYI - I am often quite insecure in my relationships so am aware that I could be blowing this out of proportion.

Do a reverse image search on the photo. This would help you establish if he found it online (instead of one from his phone / sent by a friend or whatever).

dudsville · 06/07/2018 21:01

That's scary behaviour. Be careful op.

Alison111 · 06/07/2018 21:03

I wouldn't know how to do this, any clue?

That does sound strange, not so much sending it, but refusing to say where it is from. My ex once did a similar thing and it was just an advert with a woman who did look very similar, it caught his eye so he saved it and sent it to me but he told me exactly where it was from and to be fair, the woman was just sat on a sofa so I didn't think it was odd at all. However if he had become secretive I might have felt differently.

I second the google image search suggestion.

NotARegularPenguin · 06/07/2018 21:06

I would be really unhappy that he was refusing to tell me where the photo was from. Does he normally drink so much?

purpleviolets · 06/07/2018 21:07

Just google reverse image and upload the photo.

StrugglingMumma · 06/07/2018 21:07

Possibly found on escort site? Hope you get to the bottom of it

NotARegularPenguin · 06/07/2018 21:07

Does it look like a professional photo or a home snap? Could someone have sent it to him and said they’re sleeping with you?

Beagle840 · 06/07/2018 21:08

Save the image and upload here <a class="break-all" href="https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=reverse.photos/&ved=2ahUKEwjxoNimo4vcAhVTNMAKHZmrB50QFjAAegQIBRAB&usg=AOvVaw3qzWMmX-Iupml6qDguMHI3" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=reverse.photos/&ved=2ahUKEwjxoNimo4vcAhVTNMAKHZmrB50QFjAAegQIBRAB&usg=AOvVaw3qzWMmX-Iupml6qDguMHI3

GinPink · 06/07/2018 21:08

Odd and scary behaviour by DH. I hope he sobers up, apologises and explains all. If he doesn't I would be questioning what's going on as it sounds like red flag behaviour. Xx

Alison111 · 06/07/2018 21:09

Do you know how I would do a Goggle image search? I'm not very techie...

OP posts:
Wellfuckmeinbothears · 06/07/2018 21:09

If you google “google reverse image search” then it should come up with a link to the google revers image search. You click the search bar, it’ll give you the option of camera roll/saved photo etc then select the image in question.

Hope you’re ok, seems very odd x

NapQueen · 06/07/2018 21:10

His actions sound crazy! Has he ever reacted this was before?

Alison111 · 06/07/2018 21:15

Thank you so much for this, but I didn't get any matches.

Alison111 · 06/07/2018 21:16

Thanks so much for this, at least I know I am not being paranoid.

OP posts:
Sisgal · 06/07/2018 21:19

His reaction reeks of guilt.

WindyWednesday · 06/07/2018 21:20

Is it you? Has he got a spy camera on you?

AndIWouldWalk500Yards · 06/07/2018 21:20

No, you aren't blowing this out of proportion. This really isn't normal behaviour. Hope you are ok OP.

Alison111 · 06/07/2018 21:26

Not a professional photo at all, unless it has been very zoomed in and lost it's quality. Have tried the reverse Google image others have suggested and that didn't come up with anything, I guess because I don't have the original image (that's on his phone).

OP posts:
Alison111 · 06/07/2018 21:28

Not me at all, and if he looks properly he can see it's not me, I'm not as slim.

OP posts:
LilQueenie · 06/07/2018 21:35

Sounds like he is obsessive and paranoid. He is showing the signs here.

Helloflamingogo · 06/07/2018 21:39

It doesn’t matter if it’s not the original, google matches what the photo looks like rather than its tags iyswim. So if you screen dump and crop it would still find similar photos.

Sounds odd, is it def not you?

Alison111 · 06/07/2018 21:41

Absolutely not me, and no matches so far on the searches suggested.

OP posts:
AcrossthePond55 · 06/07/2018 21:42

I think you need to rethink your marriage. I wouldn't stay with someone who drinks to excess, let alone to the point of going into the street and abusing our neighbours. And the picture thing is just odd. He was obviously trying to provoke some sort of reaction from you, but for what purpose?

3luckystars · 06/07/2018 21:42

Are you absolutely sure it’s not you?

You need to say ‘explain that photo to me, or these will be the last words I ever speak to you’

Honestly, you need some answers right now, or cut him off completely.
