To want to punch my “colleagues” in the face

I work in quite a large office. There are 21 people in here, 3 different groups. I am in the middle, on the “outskirts” of my group. The group I sit closest to therefore are not part of my group. There are 5 of them in total, and I hate every one of them (Alright, one guy is OK, unless you get stuck behind him in the car; he drives like a blind old granny).

The one I sit next to, well. She hums, talks to herself, raps her nails on the desk and violates my personal space with her paperwork. I not so subtly shove it back onto her desk regularly and she still does it. Don't even get me started on the way she eats.

The guy immediately behind me constantly clucks his tongue, raps his nails against the wall, whistles under his breath, clicks his pen and is just generally an annoying git. The guy next to him is similar, but not to such an irritating extent, although he regularly just watches videos on his phone with the volume up or takes facetime calls with his young daughter which deserves a slap in itself.

The guy opposite him has a really pathetic sneeze, and can be quite loud otherwise OK. Guy next to him is the OK one.
Oh, and 2 other people in the office are annoy the shit out of me as well. Tongue clicking and whistling.

I just want them to feck the feck off before I actually carry out my fantasies of inflicting grievous bodily harm on them.

You sound massively uptight. Chill out, your heart will thank you

HarrietKettleWasHere · 06/07/2018 13:13

You sound like you have anger issues.

Have you sought any help for that?

People annoy me too. That's why I don't work in an office. Otherwise I might end up as bitter sounding as you and I wouldn't want that.

InsomniacAnonymous · 06/07/2018 13:13

I can't help wondering what you do that annoys them.

itsbritneybiatch · 06/07/2018 13:14

You should work from home like me. It's amazing and I see no one all day 😊

TheQueef · 06/07/2018 13:14

Friday feeling?

TheClaws · 06/07/2018 13:14

Ah well. Perhaps you’re terribly annoying to them too, so that evens it out.

Kursk · 06/07/2018 13:16

Who put a cactus down your pants this morning OP? Try to relax, it’s Friday.

TheClaws · 06/07/2018 13:18

Most of your irritations seem sound-related. Get earphones. Sorted.

WigglyBlossom · 06/07/2018 13:20

It would drive me mad too OP. Can you wear noise cancelling headphones?

Racecardriver · 06/07/2018 13:21

Well I think you are perfectly reasonable to hate their guts. What kind of adult makes noises at all let alone in an office?

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 06/07/2018 13:23

Do you suffer from misophonia?

peppapops · 06/07/2018 13:23

Grin I can't say I miss working in an open office!

I used to work with a lady who was OBSESSED with anything holistic. She would burn incense sticks (massive fire hazard) that smelt of dog shit and have bowls of boiling water with essential oils in to purify the air on her desk.

Open plan offices can be a nightmare!

You're nearly there op... not long till the weekend Grin

lolaflores · 06/07/2018 13:23

How very they dare they not be you.
All the time
And deliberately.
The utter bastards
Get over yourself

JohnnyKarate · 06/07/2018 13:24

Don't worry OP you probably drive them insane by glaring around menacingly at anyone who dares breath.

CoalTit · 06/07/2018 13:25

"...a really pathetic sneeze", eh? And another one drives too slowly, you say? OP, I think you have reached peak BitchEatingCrackers

AnyFucker · 06/07/2018 13:26

Check out the common denominator

hazell42 · 06/07/2018 13:26

I think you need to see a doctor.

Knittedfairies · 06/07/2018 13:26

Feel better now, OP?

HairDyedPink · 06/07/2018 13:27

Look for another job. They will never stop irritating you, you need to find another office, with a group of people you get on better with. Update your CV and get cracking!

People annoy me too, so I ended up with a desk further away from the group, privacy and peace and quiet. I am considering how to get my own office somehow...

madja · 06/07/2018 13:29

Hee hee Grin
I hate other people's noises too (including breathing tbh) so I get where you are coming from! My former desk mate used to click his pen on and off all day. I told him if he didn't stop I would stick it up his arse Grin

Stormy76 · 06/07/2018 13:30

I don't quite know why the link isn't working but type Misophonia in to Google and read what comes up.

OneDayIWish · 06/07/2018 13:31

You sound extremely intolerant.

GarfEatsYellowFood · 06/07/2018 13:32

Like this?

To want to punch my “colleagues” in the face
TheMythicalChicken · 06/07/2018 13:34

Can you wear headphones?

“Misery is other people.”

I know how you feel, OP. I have my lunch at 11.30 am because I can’t bear the sound of other people eating.
