Well, we’re in the last 16...

So which of your team's players have you been most impressed with so far at the WC (World Cup, not loo), folks?

TornFromTheInside · 01/07/2018 19:34

Stones and Walker been ok, but nobody really stands out.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 01/07/2018 19:35

I technically dont have a team, so I cant comment.

TornFromTheInside · 01/07/2018 19:35

KdB been decent, but still not amazing

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 01/07/2018 19:36

Michy Batshuayi for that amazing moment....

TornFromTheInside · 01/07/2018 19:36

Adopt one Tali!

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 01/07/2018 19:37

I would use DD's team but West Ham are shit. (Her dad has a lot to answer for)

WhiteHartLane · 01/07/2018 19:39

From Spurs I've enjoyed watching Kane, Trippier and Davidson Sanchez. Pleased Son got a couple of goals for South Korea too.

flapjackfairy · 01/07/2018 19:39

I always think Modric looks like a 12 yr old schoolboy !

user1471517900 · 01/07/2018 19:39

Rojo was having a good World Cup until the France game.

Jesse Lingard might be the best United player so far. Along with Lukaku.

LapsedHumanist · 01/07/2018 19:46

Oh no. I hope he’s ok...

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 01/07/2018 19:46

He looks in a lot of pain, poor lad.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 01/07/2018 19:47

How gracious were the Croatia players, checking he was alright.

liverbird10 · 01/07/2018 19:47

Looked painful on Mandzukic, seems to be up and about...

Train101 · 01/07/2018 19:51

please god don't let this match go to extra time and penalties as well

TornFromTheInside · 01/07/2018 19:52

Pain? that's nothing.

Some of these lads sheer agony when pushed in the back. Apparently, it can hurt a nerve that causes a clutching of the face of leg control.

I'm led the believe the only cure for the condition is a free-kick. It's fast-acting, and has the patient back on his feet in no time.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 01/07/2018 19:54

Torn, I find the ref ignoring said fallen player helps them jump up too. Tis nearly a miracle.

TornFromTheInside · 01/07/2018 19:59

If you watch carefully, he waves his hand, and 'heals' them.
It's miraculous.

liverbird10 · 01/07/2018 20:01

@Torn Very true. "MY FACE, MY BEAUTIFUL FAAAACE!" etc, when they might possibly have had a slight tap on the shoulder.

TornFromTheInside · 01/07/2018 20:03

I must confess, I've pulled some startling faces when tapped on the shoulder from behind...

Mind you, I was in the gents at the time.

NotLeanButMean · 01/07/2018 20:04

I don't know anything about football. But do you experts think England stand any chance of winning? Today my (Scottish) dad said he was getting worried (he'll take a lot of flak at the pub if they win) Grin

I'm just so excited that they're doing well. If they got into the final stages, the country would be so buzzing. I love things that bring everyone together.

And yes, I am playing vindaloo and three lions every day whilst I get ready for workGrin

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 01/07/2018 20:04

Torn, now is not the time to discuss your toilet activities.

TornFromTheInside · 01/07/2018 20:06

I would say we are not very good, but we're ok. But this competition has been much more open than usual and there's a chance... nothing more than that, that we could actually do fairly well.

I don't we can win it, not really, but it's not totally out of the question if we have a little luck along the way.

TornFromTheInside · 01/07/2018 20:09
TaliZorahVasNormandy · 01/07/2018 20:09

We have as good a chance as anyone.

After Germany, Spain, Portugal and Argentina are out. Anything is possible.
