Those were the sides of Groups A-D and E-H. So made sense then. After round 2 they go a bit more mixed up so that (say) England can't play Belgium again till the final. Hence the whole "finishing 2nd might be best" debate.

No I turn off between matches, I don’t bother with incessant analysis and build up. Plus the commentary is so awful I tend to watch on low volume mostly
