Sibling name for Ophelia

Boy/ girl sibling suggestions to go with my daughters name, ‘Ophelia’. Quite like ethereal/ regal names. Ophelia reminds me of a fairy queen. That’s along the lines I’m going for. Thankyou 🤗

I like most of the girl's names but not the boys - I had a Giselle at school, her sister was called Ondine which is pretty.

@coughlaughfart like your username?

Oh dear / having a strop are we? You asked - don’t cry because you got answers.

Cordelia?

Further boy-suggestions, courtesy of my son's school handbook.

Aubrey
Valentine
Sholto
Ramses
Othello
Cornelius
Atticus
Tarquin

I would be happy with any of those!

She asked for suggestions about her new child's name.

Not unnecessary and bitchy comments about a name that's already been given.

I love @OpheliaLeghorn's suggestion of Valentine! Valentino as well.

I wanted to name DS that but DH refused Grin

SnappyFartyKarate · 22/06/2018 20:25

Jessica, Shakespearian but not obviously so. Miranda, same thing. Cymbeline for a more fairy vibe.
For a boy, perhaps Ambrose, or Puk if you're feeling ambitious.

There are some lovely names on this thread, but many are surely just pisstakes. I refuse to believe that some people actually use the made up sounding names on here.

And suggesting things like:
Cordelia
Aurelia
Cecilia
Delia
Amelia

Etc, is just plain idiotic. Of course these names don't go.

I wouldn't bother with a 'matching' name OP, whatever a matching name is supposed to be anyway. Just call the baby something you like. Obviously Gary or Dave won't really go Grin.

Girl names- Athena, Aphrodite, Juliette, Anastasia, Tatiana, Esperanza, Estrella, Katniss, Liesel, Ysabelle/ Ysabella, Guinevere, Isolde, Amorita, Isadora- I love Ophelia with Isolde!

Boys names - Tristan, Alexander, Oliver, Arthur, Henry, Leonardo, Lachlan.

firefly101 · 22/06/2018 22:43

DC1 is Juliet. So many people suggested Romeo for DC2! (He isn't Romeo, but her reading partner in reception was a lovely boy called Rome, whose full name we later found out was Romeo!)

Anyway my vote goes to Cressida for a girl and Lysander for a boy. Good luck finding a name you love OP!
