Sibling name for Ophelia

Boy/ girl sibling suggestions to go with my daughters name, ‘Ophelia’. Quite like ethereal/ regal names. Ophelia reminds me of a fairy queen. That’s along the lines I’m going for. Thankyou 🤗

Ophelia, Lily-May and Leighton? Hmm That's as wrong as Ophelia bits and Gary.

SleepingStandingUp · 22/06/2018 19:13

Ophelia and OctaviaI?
Ophelia and Tatiana?
Ophelia and Orpheus
Ophelia and Torbien

Balletmummyxx · 22/06/2018 19:15

OP, Ophelia is lovely, don’t listen to any of the rude comments about your daughter’s name. I’m have to admit to enjoying some of the more outlandish classical and Shakespearean suggestions but plenty of sensible names in the mix too. Hope you find some names you like enough to add to the shortlist Grin

Carolwithane · 22/06/2018 19:43

Evangeline or Jocelyn?

Levon or Levi?

I adore Ophelia - it was nearly DD2's name. Don't listen to all these horrible people on the thread, OP.

I managed to dig out my baby name shortlist for DD2 and was wondering if any of these might be good:

Girl: Elena, Ophelia (obviously you've already got that one), Desdemona, Ariel, Cassandra, Daphne, Delia, Esther, Phoebe

Boy: Lysander, Orpheus, Romeo, Bartholomew, Hector, Finn, Castor, Dylan, Damon

I was considering Hero as a unisex name too.

Bramble71 · 22/06/2018 19:47

Hmmm...I quite like Marguerite or Margarita. They both go nicely with Ophelia.

rosesandflowers1 · 22/06/2018 19:50

Hmmm...I quite like Marguerite or Margarita.

I knew a girl called Margarita.

Lots of pizza jokes, unfortunately.

John Thomas

Sorry OP it was my friend's drag act name Grin. Ophelia is a beautiful name.

There are some lovely names listed here. I really like Isolde, Florence, Flora, Perdita, Rosamund and Jacinta. Phoebe is also good, it was my GG GM's name. Just spell it properly. Feebee - as an acquaitance called her daughter - just looks silly.

All girls names I realise. DS (30) has friends called Fabian and Ptomely. We played it safe with a traditional name. DH always says he wished we'd called him Isombard after the king of British engineering. Although DS seems relieved that we didn't.

As others have said, remember you are giving a name to someone who will have to live with it, possibly get teased/bulied for it and potentially spell it every time they are asked for their name.

OpheliaLeghorn · 22/06/2018 20:06

Horatio or Horatia

Augusta or Augustus

Just because they are fabulous names.

letsallhaveanap · 22/06/2018 20:06

Isambard is a brilliant name!!

Also just seen Olympia listed by a pp... also amazing

You would be gambling on the child having a personality that could handle a name that amazing however...

WigglyBlossom · 22/06/2018 20:08

Persephone

and

Gary.
