Sibling name for Ophelia

Boy/ girl sibling suggestions to go with my daughters name, ‘Ophelia’. Quite like ethereal/ regal names. Ophelia reminds me of a fairy queen. That’s along the lines I’m going for. Thankyou 🤗

Also I love names and am probably coming across a bit weird what about mythological names?

Girl: Calypso, Hera, Ino, Penelope, Atalanta, Eris, Helen, Kyniska she was real but also a badass so Arete, Ariadne

Boy: Hermes, Theseus, Jason, Hector, Eurylochus, Neptune, Midas, Minos, Atlas

Again, read up before you choose Grin

I'm reading a series of books about a child detective called Flavia at the moment - her oldest sister is called Ophelia, and then there is Daphne. Mother was called Harriet.

All names that do seem to go quite nicely with Ophelia - although maybe you'd want to steer clear of book-references!

Persephone would go nicely.

Boys - Jeremy, Leander, Alexander

Why does the name have to be anything to do with Ophelia?

Just choose nice names that your child won't resent you for when they're older.

janizary · 22/06/2018 15:50

Cleopatra?

Cleopatra and Ophelia are the names of two of my favourite Lumineers songs. They also have one called Angela......

If you want Shakespeare: Rosalind, Celia, Rosaline, Juliet, Miranda, Katherina, Bianca, Isabella, Imogen, Viola, Olivia, Jessica, Hermione, Helena, Perdita (although it means "the lost one"), Portia and Beatrice. Shakespeare and Chaucer both use Cressida, too.

Another option is the muses or mythology- Clio, Erato, Euterpe, Euanthe, Hera, Aurora, Sybil, Selene, Diana, Pandora, Helen, Athena, Penelope, Juno, Oenone, Augusta, Hebe, Octavia, Julia, to name a few.

I also love Calypso, Eugenie, Atalanta, Alexandra and Olympia and I went to school with a Bliss and a Boadiccea, too, which I love.
