To hate own clothes day at school?

It just gets so competitive and clearly differentiates the haves from the have nots... can't I just donate double and DD can wear uniform?

My (uniformed) school was much the same, Semster. Bullying and how it is addressed depends on the culture of the school, not on whether it has a tie or not.
