DH just gone away for three days, otherwise he would talk me down I’m sure. But right now it’s just me and the DC and I’ve opened DDs room to discover this.... nest? Chrysalis? It’s about 5cm x 3cm. Help!

An ancient slightly dessicated poo?

Gammeldragz · 20/06/2018 21:16

Thank you so much for this thread, it's made my evening!
I'd never have guessed snail, but pleased it hasn't erupted with winged beasts.

DrFoxtrot · 20/06/2018 21:17

The only acceptable reason for OP’s patchy update is that she is now opening a new MN account with a different email so she can upload pics.

SpornStar · 20/06/2018 21:17

Ah, I’m too late to suggest that we name it Fucker in memory of the poster who used to write swear words on snails in tipp-ex and then turn them loose to insult gardeners throughout the neighbourhood.

ClownStar · 20/06/2018 21:17

Chardonnay Grin Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/06/2018 21:18

Is there a 'Recognised MN Outfit' for poking random wildlife?
Like the 'Investigate The Strange Noise At Night When You're On Yer Ownsome ' demands high heeled slippers, nighties, wonky torches and runnning upstairs ?

1CantPickAName · 20/06/2018 21:18

Best post EVER!!

Not a snail
Not a snail
Not a snail

Oh Wait......it’s a snail 🤣🤣🤣

DrFoxtrot · 20/06/2018 21:20

But there has been no actual snail confirmation Shock

GlitteryFluff · 20/06/2018 21:21

So it was a snail?

gamerchick · 20/06/2018 21:22

So it was a snail

I'm assuming it was.

Good stuff Grin

EmmaC78 · 20/06/2018 21:23

I don't think I need OP to come back and confirm it was a snail as it so obviously was from the photos.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 20/06/2018 21:24

Outfit must be white to achieve maximum visual effect when whatever it is splatters all over OP the protagonist.

It needs to be lacy and frilly to signify the inner struggle between her inner goodness and her hard core assassin potential.

It's complicated.

Tinkobell · 20/06/2018 21:25

A snail 🐌 caked in its own shite!

lljkk · 20/06/2018 21:25

My DD brought a dead starling in the house & forgot about it.
.
.
Until she found the maggots invading her stuffed animals, that is.

RuggerHug · 20/06/2018 21:28

Christ come back with details or we won't sleep....Well I won't...

WichBitchHarpyTerfThatsMe · 20/06/2018 21:30

This should most definitely go in Classics.

dementedma · 20/06/2018 21:31

having just watched Ds school production of Little Shop of Horrors I am not convinced by the snailists amonst us...

Feed me, Seymore!!!

dudsville · 20/06/2018 21:32

Ok. I'll own it. This is s long thread so I've jumped to the end for the result but how in the hell is that a snail? ????

peachgreen · 20/06/2018 21:32

This thread is the stuff of nightmares and yet I CAN'T LOOK AWAY

Bluelonerose · 20/06/2018 21:33

Gerald has obviously escaped the Tupperware box and has eaten op Shock

1CantPickAName · 20/06/2018 21:34

How do I nominate for classics?

ToothyMcPuthy · 20/06/2018 21:38

I need to know what it is ... (and if OP offered it some avocado).

TheDishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 20/06/2018 21:39

Was it actually a snail? I was coming on to say I don't know what the hell MN is on tonight but there is no way that is a snail! But turns out I was wrong Grin

Eenymeeny123 · 20/06/2018 21:40

Seriously i swore id never go to Austra or South America due to their giant creepy crawlies but I'm thinking of adding England to the never go to list after this monster!!! No way was that an ordinary snail, Gerald was a mutant snail....

Eenymeeny123 · 20/06/2018 21:40
