All they seem to represent us keeping the rich, rich and the poor, poor. There doesn't seem to be that many rich people so why do they get so many votes?

I think the Labour Party with Yvette Cooper as leader would win the next GE hands down.

Come on Labour get momentum out and sort the leadership out please !

Ohmydayslove · 19/06/2018 12:48

Tammy

She’s only there now because she’s had a personal relationship with him and there’s no one else.

She was disasterous during the campaign they had to shut her up. She sent her son to private school in an astonishing act of hypocrisy and she’s racist.

She supppted the IRA while they were killing thousands of innocent people.

She’s black? So what? Dispicable woman

Ohmydayslove · 19/06/2018 12:50

What decent person allows mysogynistic self ID and rampant anti Seminism and bullying in his party?

Decent my arse.

Yvette agree now she is a decent person.

auntiebasil · 19/06/2018 12:53

@TammySwansonTwo I'm old enough to have seen Corbyn 's like before. Maybe you aren't. That's ok. But he won't bring the country with him. As already evidenced by Brexit. He claimed (hahahahaha) to be a Remain supporter. He claims to have the majority behind him. If he had been any good or had actually believed in Remain, we wouldn't be leaving the EU.
If he's so bloody brilliant and so many people love him, why did Remain lose. It was a straight fight - no, first past the post, no nothing. And he didn't carry it. Because he is a liability and not very secretly was pro- Leave.

Of course you're not unreasonable :)

TammySwansonTwo · 19/06/2018 12:55

Yeah, fuck the disabled kids (and adults, and the poor, and under-employed and the hundreds of thousands living in poverty despite living within a working household, and the people committing suicide because of the fucking DWP) - self ID is much more important. I don’t agree with self ID (which was a Tory policy initially if you recall) but enabling this government to continue their abuse of the most vulnerable is inexcusable.

And Abbot increased her majority by 35,000 votes so she has once again been re-elected by her constituency who value her work. But I’m sure she’s only there because she shagged someone.

SamSmithYawnsWhenHeSings · 19/06/2018 12:55

In laws were passionate labour fans but they switched to a conservative vote as Corbyn wanted to do away with Trident. And with Brexit, they felt under threat from Russia so had no choice but to vote conservative.

Elspeth12345 · 19/06/2018 12:57

To answer: mainly because most are born privileged and are slightly cold hearted (you cannot claim not to be cold hearted when you create/support policies that assist the very wealthy (e.g. inheritance tax) and penalise the very poor (e.g. sick and disabled) and slightly ignorant of what life is like for normal people.

TammySwansonTwo · 19/06/2018 12:58

If he had been any good or had actually believed in Remain, we wouldn't be leaving the EU.

How do you figure that? Corbyn is in no way responsible for the referendum. If the tories weren’t in, there wouldn’t have been a referendum in the first place so that’s a pretty ridiculous game to play.

Leave won, by a small majority, because a) the leave campaign filled the public’s head with lies and b) too many people believed it would never happen and didn’t vote. If there were another vote now I have no doubt the results would be very different.

Ohmydayslove · 19/06/2018 12:59

Indeed

And what really fucks me right off are posters lecturing and handwringing the ‘how can you sleep at night’when his supporters know dam well he’s unelectable and it’s they who are allowing years of tory victories.

Remember thatcher!!

auntiebasil · 19/06/2018 12:59

Corbyn doesn't give a shit about disabled kids enough to pull together a party that can beat the Tories. He just likes "the Struggle " but not actual success. I was at uni with useless twats like that back in the 80s.
He's a permanent teenager with a cushy job for life supported by other teenagers who won't be so lucky.

siwel123 · 19/06/2018 13:01

You realise Cornyn is anti EU so why would he mount a good remain campaign?

otterturk · 19/06/2018 13:01

I vote Tory. I am an economic liberal. The problem with this government is you have the worst of both worlds - economic leftism and social conservatism.

I don't know who else I would vote for to be honest. Never Labour. I like some of the Lib Dems, the liberal ones like David Laws not Cable, but they're a bit of a damp squib these days.

auntiebasil · 19/06/2018 13:01

He claims to have the majority if support in this country. If he genuinely did and he genuinely wanted to fight for Remain, we wouldn't have Brexit.

Lottapianos · 19/06/2018 13:01

'He just likes "the Struggle " but not actual success'

I think you're probably right Sad

Ohmydayslove · 19/06/2018 13:05

Tammy

No it’s people like you who refuse to see that Corbyn is unelectabl who are guilty here. You choose a looser and the worst of it is it’s the poorest and the disabled who will pay the price for not having a strong good decent Labour Party

auntiebasil · 19/06/2018 13:05

"if there were another vote now I have no doubt the results would be very different"

That's not how it works. He had his chance and he blew it.

Ohmydayslove · 19/06/2018 13:13

he just likes the struggle

Agree totally and I think he was secretly probably very very relieved to have lost the ejection.

It’s far more fun and far easier to protest and criticise than to actually do anything constructive.

Justanotherlurker · 19/06/2018 13:13

@TammySwansonTwo

So Corbyn being a lifelong Eurosceptic was also because he fell for the lies ?

auntiebasil · 19/06/2018 13:17

Of course he was relieved with the result. He just didn't have the balls to admit it.
Even though I am a Remain supporter, I would have had grudging respect for him if he'd been true to his beliefs. Shifty git.

Ohmydayslove · 19/06/2018 13:21

Yes agree he didn’t have the balls to stick to his previous ‘beliefs’ he only knows one song and that’s protest.

Silly old sod never grew up that’s why only other similar far left silly old sods and the kids are fooled about him.

Total disaster for labour and a calamity for Britain.

IslaBoots · 19/06/2018 13:25

Corbyn was always staunch anti-EU. Why then did he campaign to remain? Probably because he thought that's what the general public wanted. Turncoat!

Jeez...can anyone imagine him negotiating with Europe as we leave the EU? He's nothing but a bloody "yes" man. Labour supporters cannot criticize TM in her handling of Brexit. At least she is fighting for what the the majority of UK voted for and will get us the best deal she can.

Corbyn wouldn't have a clue - or the determination and guts - to stand up to European Leaders. Thank fuck the students are now seeing him for what he is. He only said he would scrap tuition fees as he needed the votes from vulnerable, naive youngsters. I doubt they'll vote for him again

The80sweregreat · 19/06/2018 13:28

I dont know why the labour MP's and shadow cabinet dont read forums like this one and realise that we're all telling it as it is! change the leader, get a new direction, stop treading water and set out ideas for the country that people want and can be properly costed and implemented.
i know its not easy at all, but this is what people need or want and they feel that the Tories are the only ones that can do this. if there was another election tomorrow the outcome would be the same.

Beaverhausen · 19/06/2018 13:31

I would rather vote Tory than support a socialist anti Semitic who will bring this country to its knees worse than Blair did.

I have to laugh at people who assume it would be better under Labours rule when we know it will only be worse. Labour has proven that they have no intention of fulfilling any of the fake promises they have made.

Our whole political system is a joke, our politicians are unreliable and it is more about point scoring than taking the problems we are facing in this country serious.
