Anyway, kids can get bullied for all sorts of stupid things, and for no reason at all. I don't think their parents having a popular insta account will make it any more or less likely to happen

You don’t huh? You really don’t think your mum posting pics of herself in a bikini online and your dad sharing tales of you poking in a swimming pool isn’t going to increase those odds?

PeppaP · 11/07/2018 09:37

Sadly Cash is now buying into the whole ‘bitchy MN threads’ trap and thinks she’s just being slagged off on here. But she won’t read the thread herself, I wish she would.

Sofialemon · 11/07/2018 09:40

@HRHCatherinePrincessofWales

Ffs, what is wrong with pics of mums in a bikini?! Should I be fully covered whilst on the beach/in a pool with my kids. Should I ensure my DH crops me out of any holiday pics if I'm in swimwear?

There are pics of me on my social media in bikini's. It doesn't bother my kids at all. If kids would choose to bully them for that in years to come then I'm sure they'd find something else to bully them over. How ridiculous. I feel sorry for you.

allaboardtheallergybus · 11/07/2018 09:42

But why block people and accuse them of bullying but no show evidence? It’s such a power game. If I was told someone was slagging me off on their stories I’d want to know and hear/see it for myself. MOD has her gasandair account which she use to link the birth stories so if she was blocked she must have looked on that account.

Sofialemon · 11/07/2018 09:44

@PeppaP

Why is she so obsessed with a certain instamum? To my knowledge the person she is referring to as "trolling" her hasn't commented on these threads for ages.

Furfugsache · 11/07/2018 09:45

I’m loving your insights into what MOD does and thinks Allergy.

Fluffyrainbows · 11/07/2018 09:48

@sofialemon but you said you had 25 followers. Hardly oversharing your bikini snaps? Hundreds of thousands of followers? I don't really get these arguments at all.
Your saying your small account is the same as a massive business account and Cady is saying that monetising your children is the same as feeding them vegan diets or being religious.
Utterly baffling.

Sofialemon · 11/07/2018 09:49

@Furfugsache

Cash's insta account isn't my kind of thing, neither's Laura's. I followed both to see what was going on re the insta bullying. I still haven't got a clue though.

I have no issue with her views on politics, I do however find it bizarre to involve your young daughter to the extent that she has such strong opinions on various people. Imo a 7 year old is neither educated or informed enough to form those opinions.

HRHCatherinePrincessofWales · 11/07/2018 09:50

No. But I’m assuming you have your social media locked down and aren’t planning on accepting friend requests from your DC’s school friends?

I would post a pic of me in swimwear on my FB because I have that set to private - friends and family only.

I wouldn’t post a pic of me in a bikini on my instagram because it’s too open and a bit TMI. And even if I did, I wouldn’t post a pic of me in swimwear to half a million people and expect half a million nice comments. Or that everyone viewing that image would be responsible with it.

PeppaP · 11/07/2018 09:51

@Sofialemon who is Cash obsessed with? MOD? As with these threads it’s not ‘obsessive’ to speak about these instamums in anything other than a glowing way 🤔

Sofialemon · 11/07/2018 09:51

@Fluffyrainbows

Yeah, 25 on insta. I don't use insta much. The bikini pics are on my Facebook, my daughters friends parents are friends on my Facebook. If pics of me in swimwear were to be shown at their school it would be from there.

Sofialemon · 11/07/2018 09:57

@HRHCatherinePrincessofWales

The pics of certain instamums in swimwear actually made me feel better about my own body. I haven't got the figure I had pre children, and definitely wouldn't happily share a pic of myself in swimwear with thousands of people.

Seeing those pics of other mums with less than perfect figures looking healthy and happy with their children was lovely. It made me realise no one gives a shit what you look like having while on holiday having fun with your kids. I don't care if they were promoting a brand or being paid. The photo's were lovely.

Sofialemon · 11/07/2018 09:59

@PeppaP

Yeah, it comes across like she is. I doubt Clemmie has given any thought to Cash whilst on holiday and I don't think she's on this thread. Cash seems to think that though, it's s bit weird.

CadyHeron · 11/07/2018 09:59

Agree Sofia. But also to add, as soon as the bitching about the ODs starts, you and Cady pipe up. Where are you when the discussion is just about ethics or the ASA? You've very little useful to add yourself so you do have a cheek.

If you read back, I've already answered this. I "piped up" as you put it because someone asked where I was.
I answered. Nothing to do with the ODs.

Sofialemon · 11/07/2018 10:00

@HRHCatherinePrincessofWales

Also what do you mean by a bikini pic being tmi and people being responsible with the image?!

Fluffyrainbows · 11/07/2018 10:11

Oh dear god I'm stepping away! I've just had the displeasure of searching up cashcarraway. Not impressed with the child stories. Not impressed with her at all and utterly disgusted at at her highlighting gasandair as watching her stories and then the post that followed. Instagram really can be a vile place.

PeppaP · 11/07/2018 10:12

@Sofialemon she thinks that as she has caught MOD creeping her stories through her other IG account. So MOD is giving though to Cash and all of this while on holiday.

allaboardtheallergybus · 11/07/2018 10:15

The first threads last year that highlighted the ‘issues’ with Instamums did actually change things for the better. #gift #ad tagging paid partnership is now really clear. So these breads have done some good, complaints to the ASA must be making a difference

CadyHeron · 11/07/2018 10:16

So, because I'm a mum and have school age kids, I should never post a pic of myself in a bikini on the beach/on holiday on my Instagram just in case the teenagers friends find it and laugh. Good to know. Hmm
If they're that much of knobbers, they're going to bully over anything anyway.

I wouldn''t put a pic of me in a bikini on Insta anyway as no-one needs to see THAT Grin
but my point is I'll wear what the hell I like, and post what I like.

allaboardtheallergybus · 11/07/2018 10:18

If someone was slagging me off and calling me a bully without any evidence I’d want to know why. I don’t think using her open blog accout to watch stories is creeping. Also who looks at every single person who watches your stories unless you’re paranoid or have something to hide? It’s shady and actually telling someone to ‘grow the fuck up and what are you scared of’ is really bullish and nasty

Sofialemon · 11/07/2018 10:18

@PeppaP

You only have Cash's word for this trolling. Why would you believe her? She might genuinely believe it is happening, maybe it is, but I doubt it. She could just as easily be doing this for more traffic snd followers, which she's getting.

Sofialemon · 11/07/2018 10:19

@CadyHeron

Exactly! (Re bikini pics).

PeppaP · 11/07/2018 10:20

@Sofialemon she posted a screenshot of the gas and air blog looking at her stories. Why wouldn't I believe her? What could she gain fro making it all up?

PeppaP · 11/07/2018 10:23

@allergybus but why is MOD looking at her stories? Is she 'obsessed'? And especially while on a family holiday, it seems she just can't let go.

Furfugsache · 11/07/2018 10:27

She doesn’t have that many followers so probably easy to see who viewed the stories. I imagine if you had, oooh, nearly half a million followers you may feel it’s a bit different. I can imagine you could feel a bit hounded if you blocked someone big and then they follow under a different account.
