I have a friend who is obsessed with Tammy and finds her ‘inspiring’, so I’ve been subjected to several long Instagram scrolling sessions with her showing me her videos, pictures, meal plans etc. She had a boob job soon after her second baby, friend had deciphered it from scrutinising when her pictures became more covered up for a while, then suddenly she remerged with pneumatic breasts, I don’t think it’s a secret but I don’t think she’s exactly open about it. But I do believe the rest of her body is achievable, I had a 22 inch waist prior to having DD, but I could do several rounds of 10 squats at a time with 13 stone DP on my back, so my hips and bum were more than 12 inches bigger than my waist and that does create a dramatic curve, add in an odd angle like that and it looks unreal in a photo. I was pear shaped anyway though, and if I wanted to look like Tammy I’d have to get a boob job, put DD in full time childcare, jack in my job and workout all day every day. No thanks.
Personally I hate this fake, narcissistic, body obsessed selfie culture. I think it’s really really unhealthy to promote these images regardless of whether it’s real, and it’s mostly fake. These instagram fitness models spout all this ‘supportive’ and ‘inspiring’ shit, but they are just selling you water bottles, protein shakes/ bars, ‘slimming’ teas which are laxatives, appetite suppressant lollies etc - none of this is why they look like they do, it’s down to genetics and the fact their job is looking like that, it is all they do. The reality is if you have naturally narrow hips and don’t have a propensity to build muscle and store fat on your bum and thighs it won’t happen no matter how many squats you do.
Exercising should be a celebration of your body and what it can achieve, not how good you look in tiny shorts and a sports bra.
