How the hell is it possible to look like this woman??

Tangled59 · 17/06/2018 19:52

OK I qas having that Sunday sadness feeling and now I'm feeling casually pissed off and jealous because I went on FB and an ad popped up featuring this woman (Tammy Hemsomething apparently).

How is it possible to look like this?! What I mean is is this the result of just working out or what? But how can she get her body fat down so low for the waist, but not on her bum or tits?!

I think she is lean/muscular from working out but a lot of it is to do with the camera angles and poses. If she was stood feet flat in a normal pose she wouldn't look like this. Not saying she doesn't have a nice body but it's not naturally this shape. Look at her videos, she has to bend, lift her legs and angle her body/stick her bum out to look this shape.

There are tonnes of Insta-models who are posting photos side by side, one of their posed Instagram body and then one of their real body. A lot of the women look exactly like this lady in their posed photo and then completely different in their real photo.

Type in #instagramvsreality in the search bar of Instagram and see.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 17/06/2018 20:50

The trends for more and more extreme body shapes, along with plastic surgery and the self promotion via selfies in bikinis can never be debated on here because people start to pile on accusing jealousy, bitching or body shaming.

It's frustrating really. I'm not at all comfortable with young women or girls aspiring to look like a very unrealistic version of a woman.
It's no wonder that depression among young adults has risen dramatically.

Naynayba · 17/06/2018 20:50

A mix of surgery and photoshop i imagine...the real question is, why would you WANT to look like this woman? Big tits and bum and lil waist i get, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing!!!?

Echobelly · 17/06/2018 20:51

It is a rather odd looking body to me, but each to her own.

I think if it's important enough to you to work out to have an absolute extreme body, fair play to you - no one should be pathologised for it automatically. Similarly, no one should be called lazy for not going for it if they'd rather eat what they feel like and do things more things that are not exercising.

Grandmaswagsbag · 17/06/2018 20:52

@Tangled59 I have no idea really, I guess it would take a long time of just focusing on arse and eating the exact correct diet and calorie surplus to grow muscle without putting on any fat whatsoever elsewhere, sound like a full time job! I do think posing makes all these insta stars look like their bums are bigger than RL though. I was always shy of using the squat rack but I was introduced slowly by my dh and never looked back! You can always ask one of the gym coaches to give you a little intro to the weights section as it’s a little daunting at first. We are limited on glute specific machines at my gym but that push back thing sounds great.

ObiJuanKenobi · 17/06/2018 20:53

The comments on here calling this young woman 'deformed' are disgusting.

QuestionableMouse · 17/06/2018 20:53

Reminds me of Jessica Rabbit.

Props to her for putting the work in.

Louislovesmud · 17/06/2018 20:54

Some of the comments on here are really quite mean.

It is entirely possible to build muscle with focused exercises. For a pear shaped woman who beasts the gym and has had breast implants, this looks like good lighting and angles.

Can the posters commenting on how a bottom that big is horrid take a sec to consider that not everyone fits into the typical Western view of beauty? Small waists and big bums aren't as uncommon as many seem to think

bobstersmum · 17/06/2018 20:55

I don't understand why women want these massive arses? I've got a big arse but not one that sticks out like that, what's it all about?

chachaboom · 17/06/2018 20:55

This planetary-esque arse + tiny waist trend (Kardashian/Minaj etc) just makes me think of the Kenny Everett doing Rod Stewart sketch.
As a pp said, must be a nightmare finding jeans that fit well.

starryeyed19 · 17/06/2018 20:55

I don't think she'd be able to stand upright if that photo was real

Thespringsthething · 17/06/2018 20:56

As everyone has said, it's a combo of surgery (rib removal?), genetics, angles and photoshop.

It's like comparing Kim Kardashian's figure in the 'broke the internet' photoshoot, where she has this tiny impossibly small waist, curvy butt, and amazing smooth skin- and the rather unflattering pap shots that came out afterwards which show she's a lot heavier and has a lot of cellulite than the photoshopped idealized image (not surprisingly, as it's hard to have a truly curvy ass without some actual fat in it).

Also- whoever said Arnold Schwarzenegger was genetically predisposed for muscle, yes, but- steroids! He even admits to using them. I'm pretty sure some female celebs in the public eye also use steroids, it's exceptionally common in fitness/bodybuilding to the point where people don't think of it as cheating, more just enhancing what they have more efficiently.

Tangled59 · 17/06/2018 20:56

@Bluntness100
I saw her looking like this in a fake tan ad so google searched her name and this was the 3rd pic (1st was headshot, 2nd was taken from behind).

It's also the sign of a modern "upper class" - rich people were fat when the plebbs were starving and skinny. Nowadays, it's the opposite, famous people are toned and slim .

When you see the photos of some of our lovely "ladies" 4 sizes too big for their mini outfits drunk as anything at various "ladies" race days and in our streets, I take the insta-famous fit-addict any day!

MedicinalGin · 17/06/2018 20:58

Good grief- she’s done a load of surgery and has spent bloody ages doing lunges and weights and posing to get the angle juuuuuust right.

You could spend years of your life doing this if you really wanted.
Or you could actually live your life and be kinder to yourself.

Peanutbuttercups21 · 17/06/2018 20:58

Lipo, silicon, diet and, exercise

Does not intimidate me Grin

Live and let live

Boulty · 17/06/2018 20:58

Why would you want to look like this!

She looks like she has had some form of surgery. The bottom is huge the angles look photoshopped.

Try to love yourself and be the best you can be and don't compare yourself to these people who make a living off of social media etc.

SerenDippitty · 17/06/2018 21:00

I disagree that a super fit woman is a false ideal - I am surrounded by enough REAL women, mothers and professional, who also take care of themselves and some who look AMAZING. It's a choice and they make the effort, being up 1 hour before everybody and running at 5am, exercising once the kids are in bed and so on.
Anyone can do it.

But why is it necessary to be super fit, as opposed to just fit? Why take it to these extremes?

Ollivander84 · 17/06/2018 21:00

She has a v similar look to someone I know, who has no bum implants but competes in bikini competitions, spends ages in the gym and has a strict diet

SluttyButty · 17/06/2018 21:00

Personally ikeep I think there's a lot wrong with a woman posing like this to make money. But that's another topic entirely. I just don't think objectifying yourself in this way is good for a woman.

But then I've raised my daughter to not to think the social media selfie culture is a good thing if it demeans you as a woman. She knows her self worth is in her brain with her identity and doesn't need to pose to feel valued.

starryeyed19 · 17/06/2018 21:01

Is anybody else thinking about the character that Elle defends in Legally Blonde? Brooke, who runs a fitness empire but admits to having lipo because no one can have an arse that good?

ikeepaforkinmypurse · 17/06/2018 21:02

we all could be planking whilst reading this thread on a laptop. I bet not many of us bothers. The ones with a super-fit body will be ignoring the thread and exercising instead.
I find the negative comments and mean attacks amusing, it says a lot about the haters.

nellieellie · 17/06/2018 21:04

Erm... Has she done anything interesting? Some posters have said they “follow” her. But why? Am confused. Does she just post pictures of herself? And people care?

Ollivander84 · 17/06/2018 21:04

Can't post image but here's a link and it's definitely her real body!

I've followed similar women. When their fan bases get big enough people always unearth photos of flat chests/pecs before they got boob jobs. Zuzka Light is one. And Lisa from Bodyrock, but she had a boob job while with Bodyrock so not hidden. It's not impossible to have a hard muscular body with soft big boobs sitting on top but it's got to be very unusual.
