Things that belong in chocolate

  • Nuts
  • Mint
  • Orange

Things that definitely DO NOT belong in chocolate

  • Ginger
  • Chilli
  • Lime
  • Chilli and lime together. Abomination.

Am I right?

Just don't like my food to be sweet. I don't mind some things that are naturally sweet (e.g. carrots) in main dish type food but I don't want things like sugar added to it. I don't want honey glazed veg. I don't want sweet chilli and ginger sauce, or god forbid, sweet and sour sauce.

If I want sweet I want something sweet not salty chocolate or ice cream.

I can't abide salt in chocolate and I hate salted caramel. I love salt and sweet popcorn though.

Everything.

I’ve had Guinness chocolate. It was quite nice. Ginger and dark chocolate is a match made in heaven. And 85% cocoa dark chocolate is a health food.

About 10 years ago, M&S sold rose flavoured milk chocolate

It was pleasant as long as you considered it as “other” and not as chocolate

Those of us of a certain vintage will remember the lime barrel of Dairy Milk days. It was always the one left for last. Along with the rock hard caramel thing:

That is just a keg of despair echt.

I loved the rock hard caramels, though. My Mum loved them too, as they stuck my teeth together, which meant I shut up for 5 minutes.
