To be excited about the World Cup starting!

I know FIFA and Russia and whoever is involved is horrible in some way... But it's the actual World Cup. Mexico v South Korea suddenly becomes hugely important to my life! England have a likeable squad and manager. Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar. Spain sacking their manager yesterday.

It's so exciting isn't it!

We will have Japan, Colombia, Poland or Senegal to play from Group H.

I reckon Japan will go throug.

I reckon all the teams in Group H are more or less on a par to each other. No stand out favourites but neither does there seem to be a rubbish team in there.

Come on Senegal! I want to see them dance!

I gotta leave work, where I shall run out of the door, drive 45 mins to my friends house, to get DD. Spend some time there and then I will drag DD out the door after 30 mins to drive the 20 mins home, then get dinner on quick so I park my arse from 7 until 9.

Poland deserve to go out. Been at work today so just going to catch up with England's goals now.

Poland were poor. Colombia looked pretty good at times but were sloppy at other times.

Got to say that from what I've seen, the crowds are almost solely made up of attractive young women!

Who are we all watching tomorrow then as the matches are on at the same time? I think I'll watch Uruguay v Russia and Iran v Portugal. No point watching Saudi Arabia and Egypt now!

Some of the groups are still pretty hard to call. Who do we think will go through?

Russia and Uruguay are through already.
Spain and Portugal.
France and Denmark. Although Australia could still do it, if they beat Peru and Denmark get nothing from France.
Croatia and Nigeria. Argentina are gone.
Brazil and Switzerland.
Mexico and Germany. Even though I wanted Sweden to go through.
England and Belgium already through.
Japan and Senegal. I think Colombia have left it too late now.

So far, there's no team to fear.
Could be a really open World Cup this time around.

The only teams that have played excellently so far in my opinion are Belgium, England and Russia. Albeit against fairly poor opposition so it will be interesting to watch them against better teams.

Portugal and Spain will be strong contenders for finals. France, Germany and Brazil need to pick it up a bit as they haven't really shone so far. Argentina have been dreadful and do not deserve a place in the 16.

Agree with your list Tali although not convinced Denmark will get anything at France and Australia should beat Peru so maybe Australia to go through and not Denmark.

No team to fear based on games so far, however I think, as Germany proved last night, the top teams will pull it out the bag when required. Still be great to see an underdog go all the way though.
