No, not by a mile. Overpriced plastic tat.

Sebo far better, Miele better than Dyson, but not better than Sebo.

araiwa · 13/06/2018 11:41

Henry and dyson are my 2 favourite hoovers

RocknRolla · 13/06/2018 11:41

I don’t like dyson, have tried 3 now and don’t think the suction is great and they are a pain to get a part for if they break. The best hoover I think is the Miele that’s what I am using just now and it’s great.

Abetes · 13/06/2018 11:42

I don’t like my Dyson either.

yoyo1234 · 13/06/2018 11:43

Not owned a Dyson but had so many friends complaining ( and getting rid off) dysons.

bigknickersbigknockers · 13/06/2018 11:43

I think dysons are ok but I am thinking the next hoover I buy may well be a shark. Sebo are nothing special .

Butterflykissess · 13/06/2018 11:44

hmm i dont know anyone that has a miele and never heard of a sebo. just dont want a rubbish hoover again as with 4 kids its pretty much an essential.

Love mine, but for comparison I had two Morphy Richards vacuums before.

TSSDNCOP · 13/06/2018 11:44

Yes. The cordless V8 is so light and efficient the kids fight over using it.

Hoovering doesn’t get any easier than this!

longlostpal · 13/06/2018 11:45

Another vote for Miele. I used to have a dyson and the efficacy declined rapidly after purchase.

Freaklikemeee · 13/06/2018 11:46

I love my Dyson because the suction is powerful, the attachments are easy to change over and the nozzles and brushes get into corners very easily... None of which applied to my previous vacuum cleaners.
I have a cylinder rather than an upright Dyson so that might make a difference.

The suction on my Dyson is so good I can't even push it, I have to drag it backwards over the carpet. Next time I'm buying a lighter weight hoover, it may or may not be a Dyson, but it will be light.

frasier · 13/06/2018 11:48

I have a Miele. My cleaner says it’s the best hoover she’s ever used.

MrJohnReese · 13/06/2018 11:48

I had my Miele for 13 years, best hoover ever!

MatildaTheCat · 13/06/2018 11:48

Our cleaners asked specifically for a Dyson when my Meile died. The Meile bags were so expensive I has happy to oblige.

I also have a cordless Dyson which, despite being an older model, is bloody fantastic.

happinessiseggshaped · 13/06/2018 11:49

The old Dysons were amazing, new ones are rubbish. I had to have mine fixed twice in warranty and to be honest it just isn't up to the job.

MatildaTheCat · 13/06/2018 11:49

Should add it’s a cylinder, not upright.

Ellendegeneres · 13/06/2018 11:50

I’m looking at buying the vax blade. Vax have been fab, but I agree, my Henry is an absolute angel but for his weight- I can’t manage him anymore

IAmMumWho · 13/06/2018 11:50

I love my Dyson wall mount one. Only problem really is it only have a 30 use from a 3 hour charge.

CakeUpWall · 13/06/2018 11:52

The Dyson V10 is head & shoulders above previous models. I have the V10, an older V6 and a Miele cylinder vacuum. The Miele, whilst being a great quality appliance, never ever gets used. The new Dyson is more effective and a million times more convenient. The V10 is pricey, but imo is worth it.

Butterflyrosebud · 13/06/2018 11:52

Definitely. We got rid of our old one and now only use the cordless Dyson (£250 which I don’t think is too bad). Sounds silly but it’s made me so much less stressed on maternity leave cleaning up after the pets! Couldn’t deal with dragging around a heavy vacuum, such a waste of time. My house is spotless now Smile

WeirdCatLady · 13/06/2018 11:53

I would never have anything but a dyson, fabulous things they are imho

Tinkobell · 13/06/2018 11:54

Nope. To get full suction the Dyson needs emptying very often. The crud can lid doesn't reclose very well as grot sticks to the seal. Grot is visible all inside the canister. The brush function no good for Berber type carpets. On the whole Henry range far far better.

SluttyButty · 13/06/2018 11:54

Ooh third time this week I can say how much I love my new V10 cordless Dyson. I've had other Dyson's in the past but this new one blows all the others out of the water. It's suction is very, very impressive, so much so I've gotten rid of my corded one!
