To wonder how many of you are ready for hard Brexit, after today's Common's vote?

flibbertyfive · 12/06/2018 23:59

Because that's what's now happening, very soon.

PS According to the civil servants I know, it will be utter chaos - there has been literally basically no preparation for this at all. Because the bloody politicians can't make up their minds for what they want/expect to happen. So there are no contingency plans whatsoever.

Hope you're happy and looking forward to the chaos if you voted for Leave.

Get a grip. All kinds of chaos will not happen. Feeding the shock and awe tactics of those that still wish to reverse brexit is helping no one.

But if you are that worried stock pile your cat biscuits and take up meditation.

A4710Rider · 13/06/2018 12:53

Why, because some internet random, with I assume no inside knowledge of the aviation industry said so

Err, I have a basic grasp of economics. If somebody leaves a hole in a well used market, that hole will be filled by someone else.

A4710Rider · 13/06/2018 12:54

Here I was, thinking this was a debate about ideas

It's not a debate is it. It's your lot calling us racists and screaming "the Russians did it"

GhostofFrankGrimes · 13/06/2018 12:54

A Remainer told me just this week that we couldn't use Full Fact as a reputable source.

When you're presented with facts to debunk your assertions you resort to posting nonsense.

frumpety · 13/06/2018 12:54

удачи в футболе на завтра Grin

for any Russians Wink

GhostofFrankGrimes · 13/06/2018 12:56

Not when the market has been severely damaged, forcing the previous company to leave in the first place.

Lua · 13/06/2018 12:56

A4710Rider - excuse me, who called you a racist here? Certainly not me.

A4710Rider · 13/06/2018 12:56

What asserations did I make that you used facts to debunk? Watching made a jokey comment about and EU green socks law. You mocked her, then I posted a link showing how many laws we've adopted.

You posting a Fullfact link debunks fuck all mate.

Fenwickdream · 13/06/2018 12:57

If Ryanair choose to leave the UK then another company will arise and take their place. It really is that simple.

Why, because some internet random, with I assume no inside knowledge of the aviation industry said so?

No because that's how business works. Find a gap, fill it. Your not as greedy as the person that gave up (yet) Any money's good money to someone.

A4710Rider · 13/06/2018 12:58

Not when the market has been severely damaged, forcing the previous company to leave in the first place

The previous company are (supposedly) leaving because they want to protect the money they make. A new company will still make money. Listen, seriously, listen to me when I say we will still be able to fly in and out of the UK

watchingwithinterest · 13/06/2018 12:58

Lua It is not an interesting debate because the remoaners can not get past their own anger and bitterness to actually discuss the positives of brexit.

I am afraid you are wrong about immigration, as part of the customs union we have to accept freedom of movement so we are unable to change the rules because Merkel has made it very clear she will not change one of 'her' four pillars (movement of goods, services, people etc)

So yes we are indeed prevented from changing immigration.

It is difficult to increase wages whilst you have so many workers coming from the EU that are seriously under cutting British workers. So again yes we are prevented from changing that for the moment.

British companies will hire the cheapest labour. They are only interested in profit. Again this could be changed if we limited immigration.

Yes we are prevented from setting up global trade with US etc as everything has go through the UK.

So just about every point you made is completely wrong. Sorry.

watchingwithinterest · 13/06/2018 12:59

Global trade has to go through the EU not UK - typo

Dapplegrey · 13/06/2018 12:59

We'll even have to pay for visas every time we want to go on holiday there.

Flibberty is that certainly going to happen? I'd be interested to see a link which says we will have to pay for visas to visit Europe rather than we may have to pay for visas.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 13/06/2018 13:00

You posting a Fullfact link debunks fuck all mate.

So you're admitting you are not interested in facts then? You'll believe what you want even if its an outright lie. If there was a strong argument for leaving the EU you'd use it. But you don't have one so you resort to debunked slogans. And you have the audacity to talk about democracy.

LittleLionMansMummy · 13/06/2018 13:02

It's not a debate is it. It's your lot calling us racists

I've been following this thread all day and must have missed this. If you mean challenging and debating facts and figures in relation to immigration, among other things, I think you have the wrong definition of racism.

Neither has anyone accused you of being thick and uneducated, before that old chestnut is aired again.

watchingwithinterest · 13/06/2018 13:03

We'll even have to pay for visas every time we want to go on holiday there.

I think we will be choosing to go to destinations where this will not be required, and with all the tourism economies depending on the UK to stay afloat I would imagine there will be a queue of countries eager to ensure that nothing stops this cash cow from flowing.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 13/06/2018 13:03

British companies will hire the cheapest labour. They are only interested in profit. Again this could be changed if we limited immigration.

If this is true why are wages not high in areas with low immigration such as the North east?. Its because the "migrants suppress wages" line is a load of bollocks isn't it? British companies have moved jobs out of the UK to find cheaper labour!

A4710Rider · 13/06/2018 13:03

So you're admitting you are not interested in facts then? You'll believe what you want even if its an outright lie. If there was a strong argument for leaving the EU you'd use it. But you don't have one so you resort to debunked slogans. And you have the audacity to talk about democracy

In what way did you posting the full fact link debunk anything in the context of what we were discussing. You don't even know do you? Go and get a cup of tea and maybe have a breath of fresh air. Regain your composure and come back to the debate because at the moment you're making yourself out to be a bit stupid.

Buteo · 13/06/2018 13:04

As part of the customs union we have to accept freedom of movement

Wrong.

watchingwithinterest · 13/06/2018 13:04

LittleLionMansMummy

I would completely agree with you. I have not heard the usual insults for once, and to the credit of the remainers on here I think that point should be noted.

Buteo · 13/06/2018 13:05

Global trade has to go through the EU not UK - typo

Wrong again.

user1486062886 · 13/06/2018 13:05

Buteo Please back that up with real actual workable facts, not just the 3 month rule

Turkey is part of the customs union and doesn't have FOM.

To be part of the single market you must have FOM.
