To have freaked out yesterday at finding a grey hair?

I'll be 29 next month. Honestly there was a tear in my eye when I found it. Dramatic much?

How old were you when you found your first? What do I do with it?? Is it true if I pull it I'll get 10 more!?

I've never felt older than I do now.

I'm a year older than you and found my first few in the last couple of years. It's a terrible feeling! My advice is just dye them and then pretend they don't exist

I was 22. I now have about 10. I yank them out as soon as they appear.

Started going grey at 19. I've dyed my hair on and off over the years but now I leave it alone. 51 now and very grey.

31 and none yet. My mum was well into her 40's before she started going grey so I'm hoping I follow her.

Teaching turned me grey at 25.

Someone keeps dropping grey hairs on my clothing. Then one fell on my keyboard the other day, bright as daylight on the black background. I don't know where they are coming from......

I think i was 25. I started dying my hair when I was 31. I didn't know how grey I now am until recently when I didn't dye my hair for 2 months

I went 60%grey by 25. It was a real shock but I’m 40 now so just dye it. Grey hair takes colour well so there is a bonus!

Around 40. Been dying for about 5 years. Letting the highlights grow out and grey hairs appear. Don’t want to have to grow out a dramatic skunk stripe when I’m in my 60s. Anyway; Grey hair is a Thing now.

I was 17 when i found my first. I reckon, now I'm 38, if I stopped dying my hair I'd be more grey than anything else now.

I was 17 or 18 I think. I’m really dark. I couldn’t care less, they can be covered up, and when I get enough (my greys are actually Snow White), I’m going to embrace it and have a glorious mane of white.

I was about the same age as you. It’s not a big deal really. I don’t think they multiply if you pull them out, but I’ve just left mine (blonde), would prob pull it out if they showed more.

I was 20.

I found my first just before my 50th. I am 'dark blonde' and have had highlights for years. I've never really looked before. I only found it because my hair is currently falling out in handfuls and I was trying to work out why. Low ferratin apparently. I am more worried abut the hair loss than the grey TBH.

27 - big white wirey one and I cried. It wouldn't be so bad if my 60+ relatives were grey at all!

17. I’m 40 and am really quite grey - I tried growing it out but it made me look odd and unwell. I dye it at home quite easily.

And no, pulling it out will of course NOT mean two grow back. I actually met a hairdresser once who believed that guff.

One grey hair? Oh dear, OP. But somehow, life goes on...

I got my first at 16 and DS had one at 14.
