To think what happened to Tommy Robinson was wrong

In that the press were not allowed to report on the original grooming trial and the secondary trial of his for contempt of court.

Surely these press bans should only be used for issues of national security like terrorism.

Didn't we do this one to death last week? Twice?

itchyknees · 01/06/2018 20:19

DaphneFanshawe I don’t think so. Just some bored saddos too silly to understand, stirring up for a Friday night.

ReservoirDogs · 01/06/2018 20:20

Bloody hell surely the OP is a wind up?

NotACleverName · 01/06/2018 20:21

I see someone left the gates open at the thicko farm again.

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon is a Grade A gobshite. He risked prejudicing a trial, and doing so broke his bail conditions; he admitted it so I fail to see what's supposedly "wrong" about punishing him. Anyone who thinks it's wrong is, quite simply, no better than he is.

TheIcon · 01/06/2018 20:21

If he really cared about child abuse he'd have denounced his friends who were convicted of it.

I can only assume he's a supporter of child abuse because he has repeatedly tried to prejudice juries in child abuse cases, which if he succeeded, would result in these perpetrators walking free as they couldn't receive a fair trial.

MissSusanSays · 01/06/2018 20:22

Whattheactualfuckmate

What isn’t reported is the grooming of children, including boys, by groups of young white males. Have you heard of the massive CSE ring in Oxford? All white males in their 20s.

Not currently widely reported. Which gives rise to the idea that only Muslim men are up to this shit.

MycatsaPirate · 01/06/2018 20:22

Tommy Robinson is a thug. He couldn't care less about the victims. All he cares about is the colour of the skin of the accused.

There has been a recent conviction of a group of white male rapists and another case ongoing and I don't see the likes of the EDL/Britain First ranting on about those cases.

Strange that.

YABU. And fucking stupid.

MiniCooperLover · 01/06/2018 20:25

He's scum OP and I'm afraid that if you believe in him or anything he says ... well what does that make you ?!?

TheIcon · 01/06/2018 20:26

I'd ban the OP. Anyone with any sympathy for that fuckwit is clearly not worth talking to.

BibbityBobbityBollocks · 01/06/2018 20:27

Wanders in to post to post secret barrister link. Ah Cheers FairfaxAikman Wine

Dropdeadfredra · 01/06/2018 20:29

I have recently educated myself on this case.

Apparently Tommy mentioned charges that had been dropped, that could prejudice the trail. If there had to be a retrial it would cost thousands and, more importantly, it would cause the victims to potentially have to give evidence twice. It would also distress the victims and lengthen the time that the trial would be hanging over their heads.

Is your right to know about the trial details before it finishes more important than minimising the victims' distress?

Also Tommy apparently has a track record of caring more about condemning a religion than the affect that his behaviour has on the actual victims.

BibbityBobbityBollocks · 01/06/2018 20:30

Wanders back to collect the extra to post from my earlier comment. As you were Wine

Dropdeadfredra · 01/06/2018 20:30

I was pointed in the direction of the secret barrister who is very enlightening.

MaisyPops · 01/06/2018 20:31

Bloody hell surely the OP is a wind up?
Given there was another thread in the last few days where a Tommy Robinson fan was speculating about the cases and a conspiracy against him which was pulled, I have a feeling they are real.

Have you seen some of the comments on Britain First shares? Not a brain cell between them.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 01/06/2018 20:33

Would the Tommy Robinson supporters still say he did the right thing if his actions led to the trial or trials of suspected paedophiles having to be abandoned?

Because what he did jeopardised the trials - and he must have known this.

All he cared about was shooting his mouth off and getting publicity - he did not care about justice. He got no more than he deserved.

mustbemad17 · 01/06/2018 20:34

He doeen't give a shit about vulnerable victims of paedo rings. One of his own was convicted of sexual abuse was he not? Didn't see him shouting his mouth off then, in fact he apparently helped cover it up if what i read is accurate!

If one of the victims in court was someone he cared about he wouldn't be risking a mistrial by being a pompous prick. He does not care about anybody or anything except his own agenda. That makes him a cunt.

Oh & he was on a suspended sentence. He broke the conditions of that. Instant return to jail. No miscarriage of justice there thank god.

greendale17 · 01/06/2018 20:39

If he really cared about child abuse he'd have denounced his friends who were convicted of it.

VivaKondo · 01/06/2018 20:44

There is a law. He should follow it. It’s not his place to decide whether the law is right or not (nor is it yours OP).
For me it’s similar to someone who decide that there is no reason for a 30 mph limit on a stretch of road and decides it’s ok to go at 60mph. And then wonders why he gets a fine....
The reality is that it’s all good until.... an accident happens and someone is injured/killed.

What is if his antics means someone who has committed a crime can’t be judged properly and walks free?
What if the victims end up being harassed because their name and faces are all over the internet?
What if an innocent person ends up with faces all over the Internet with the presumption of being guilty and all the consequences going with it??

These are not small things. They can destroy life just as much as a car accident can.
The law is there to protect people. Up to him to respect it!!

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/06/2018 20:45

Oh look.

Brand new poster. Starts thread on highly contentious topic. Does not return to thread.

Amatullah · 01/06/2018 20:47

Ops bored it seems!! How can anyone can feel sorry for the toss pot.

He pleaded GUILTY!!.. he knew what he did was wrong and he shouldnt have done it. The ban is to protect the intregrity of the trial..its huge and is a massive scandal yes ..does not mean justice is not being served because you cant read a play by play about it in the daily fail!

Bubbletrouble43 · 01/06/2018 20:48

Bibbity that amused me Grin

PortiaCastis · 01/06/2018 20:49

It's a shame the ignorant thuggish racist twerp didn't publicy denounce his child abusing mates and he was in comtempt of court so no sympathy or fucks to give

Gilead · 01/06/2018 20:50

He's a saint, that Tommy, an absolute saint...
Hmm

To think what happened to Tommy Robinson was wrong
fitgirl26 · 01/06/2018 20:52

Tommy Robinson has made a lot of money from his half-wit followers by spreading hatred about Islam. I hope he has a horrible time in jail along with his mate Jayda Fransen.

OhCheersForThat · 01/06/2018 20:52

Oh, do me a favour!

Hope he has a lovely time at Her Maj’s Pleasure. Total idiot of a man.
