I think I am insanely jealous. So don’t know whether I am BU?

My partner has started tutoring a 19 year old. He is a teacher but she is resisting as she wants a grade 9.

He hasn’t said much about her. I showed him a Facebook picture of her as I know of her. He said she is prettier than that in real life.
Now he thinks this is subjective and nothing untoward. Like he thinks our daughter is pretty.

I think alot of men would think a young beautiful girl is attractive, that doesn't mean they're going to pursue them, people, male and female walk passed and interact with attractive people everyday, that's life, there will always be someone younger and/or better looking than you. You'd drive yourself crazy if you worry about that kind of stuff.

While rich, wealthy, powerful men sometimes attract women who are much more physically attractive than they are, people in relationships are usually similar with regard to physical attractiveness. This suggests that women are like "physical attractiveness" just as much as men.

I think youre being paranoid, youre seeing being able to admit someone is pretty or attractive as an "urge" in your own words, which its not really is it. I bet you find people attractive all the time but you dont feel an urge to act upon it.

There is no misandry or sexism there- study after study and years of research have conducted that men respond more to visual stimulation than females. In essence, men like physical attractiveness and higher testosterone levels makes them generally more horny. The 2 sexes generally have different stances when it comes to both sex and sexual attractiveness. Much research in the scientific world will support this. Even male babies who are shown pics of 2 females will stare at the more attractive face suggesting that it is inherent.
Not saying men are solely attracted to looks-they aren't but it plays a much bigger part in their attraction to the opposite sex than females hold the importance of looks.

In general teachers draw a mental line at dating students. I never in a million years looked at my students (aged 18+) as possible dates - it would be unprofessional, and YABU to think your DH would engage in such unprofessional behaviour (unless he has a history of doing that sort of thing?) Recognising that someone is attractive and entertaining sexual thoughts about them are two different things.

Are you really a science teacher? The average man may respond to visual stimulation more than the average women but that doesn't mean that all men respond more than all women. It doesn't mean that all men value physical attraction more than all women or that all men prefer younger women either. You yourself may feel that way, but you can't speak for all men and you certainly can't speak for all women.
