AIBU?

There is a strange car parked in front of my house

Literally facing into my lounge, my private parking area not on street. I’ve no idea who it belongs too, must’ve arrived whilst I was putting the baby to bed so in the last 15 minutes. Doesn’t belong to any of my neighbours that I’m aware of (been here a long time, know most of them well). I think it’s cheeky to leave your car on a random parking spot or Aibu?

Lipstick ‘Dave now says no to parking’ if he comes and says anything tell him to speak to Dave!

Once on the night of a major rugby game some pricks thought it'd be funny to lift the back of my car and roll it out into a major road. Got towed instantly. Don't suppose you know any rugby fans?! Grin

I think I would go and put his windows in now or scratch ”I am a cunt” on the paintwork.

Restraint is not my middle name. Blush

Eggs or Vaseline on his windscreen.

I was tolerant until he came back after you'd told him it was private property.

Right so I’ve moved my car close behind for now but we are going out soon so only short term.

Discovering I’m woefully under prepared for this situation, no eggs, milk or flour in (off shopping later), no lipstick as I don’t wear it, will lip gloss work? 🤔

In all seriousness I’d have probably been ok with it if he’d had the manners to knock & ask politely.

Dh home about 2, need to be gone by then as we’re having a clear out & plan to get all the garage stuff out to sort on the hardcore.

I can’t wait to get the fence in but not happening for a few months. I’m going to buy some heavy planters I think & place then along the top. I’ll reposition once fence is up.

Please please do something OP. Lipstick a note on his car or pour food on it so the birds come and shit all over it. I feel completely indignant even from afar at the sheer gall of some people!!!!

Any criminal damage could backfire on you OP even if the situation is Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

Nothing wrong with leaving a note on the CFs car saying you have handed his Reg Number and a photo of his car on your private property to the local police.

Maybe you could move some plant pots and block the car in with them? Not a permanent solution but gets the point across

Criminal damage = scratching into paintwork, eggs, Vaseline etc on windscreen is bloody dangerous

I agree that any kind of damage is wrong. A note on the windscreen will do the job.

Take a photo and post it to your Facebook.

Put up a sign detailing astronomical parking changes. If he parks there again get photographic evidence and expect payment.

Charges not changes

Stick some dirty nappies on the windscreen face down.

Still clear out your garage, just stick all the stuff around the car.

I can't believe he's come back!

OP if you're local I'll come and sit on your drive all the damn day long. Baby DS has pox so we literally have nowhere to go.

I’m leaving a note if it’s not gone when we leave in about half an hour.
