There is a strange car parked in front of my house

Literally facing into my lounge, my private parking area not on street. I’ve no idea who it belongs too, must’ve arrived whilst I was putting the baby to bed so in the last 15 minutes. Doesn’t belong to any of my neighbours that I’m aware of (been here a long time, know most of them well). I think it’s cheeky to leave your car on a random parking spot or Aibu?

mashed up weetabix oh fantastic, please do it! Grin
(We all know just how well it sticks)

PotteryLady · 26/05/2018 21:34

Stick stickers across windscreen saying do not park here CF. Will take forever to peel off

MirrorMirror21 · 26/05/2018 21:34

WTF why oh why did you not make a thread? That's what I call a climatic ending Grin OP, the bar has been set.

AllMYSmellySocks · 26/05/2018 21:35

Oh my god. I thought it was cheeky enough when people parked partially blocking my drive. Actually pulling into your space and leaving the car there? I almost admire their brass neck!

HasAnyoneGotAProblemWithThat · 26/05/2018 21:36

I’ve told this story on mn before. I’m disabled & got home from a supermarket shop one day to find my driveway blocked by workmen. I politely asked if they could move so I could get on my drive. I was told to use my legs. I parked down the road & I got out of my car, hobbled with my walking stick & shopping. Cue very red faces & about turns to get my shopping, move their vehicle & park mine on the drive in super quick fashion.

AllMYSmellySocks · 26/05/2018 21:36

That said it happened to my friend that someone parked on her drive to visit a neighbour. When friend complained the woman whose car it was was surprised it was a problem. Some people are weird.

HasAnyoneGotAProblemWithThat

OH My god, I bet that was the last time they ever told anyone to use their legs!

Mummyoflittledragon · 26/05/2018 21:37

HasAnyoneGotAProblemWithThat · 26/05/2018 21:40

I know its quite funny when I think of it! They were so embarrassed. As they should be!

Horsedogbird · 26/05/2018 21:45

Could it be a mate of your husband's?

BlueEyedBengal · 26/05/2018 21:48

Wow loving this thread. My street is parking hell neck door neighbour bought a sports car( we call them Posh and becks round here) We didn't mind that just they parked it outside my house and it didn't move for 6 months. My husband asked them to move it as I was 2weeks over my due date and needed our car close ( they have an everyday car outside their door) and the cow said so and pissed off inside. 2 days later he took it for a service and we parked back before it left the street. We came home one day and the car was going on a trailer apparently fell behind with the payments. All the neighbours were out watching Dam we missed it . Any one got the link to the other parking thread?

Racecardriver · 26/05/2018 21:52

Shamelessly place making.

SimonBridges · 26/05/2018 21:56

TheGirlWhoLived · 26/05/2018 21:59

What on earth is wrong with people?!

Troels · 26/05/2018 22:02

WTFsMyUserName I like your Dh's style.
Definitly block em in Owner.
Also is all the pink lined bit dropped curb, could your three parking spaces be mistaken for part of the road.

Mummymummums · 26/05/2018 22:02

OP - is it possible your DH went to the football with a friend who's left his car there?

Ownerofalittlechimp · 26/05/2018 22:05

Well it’s gone, turns out was visiting a house on next road over. I asked him why he’d thought it ok to park on private property without permission & he said he was mates with Dh. I said ok just that he hadn’t let me know. He then said yeah I’ve know Dave for years, reader, dh’s name is not Dave nor anything like Dave. I pointed this out & he got a bit huffy saying previous owner used to let him & he didn’t see why it was a big deal if I wasn’t using it. Previous owner was my dm & it was landscaped when she had it. Straight up CF!

SimonBridges · 26/05/2018 22:06

Oh the ‘Dave said it was ok’ defence.

TheLionRoars1110 · 26/05/2018 22:08

SimonBridges · 26/05/2018 22:14

Spotsandstars · 26/05/2018 22:18

I'm laughing!!!! Dave!!! How do people have the balls to do this and then not only lie about it but not apologise!!!!!!

OpiningGambit · 26/05/2018 22:24

Aw, now you've missed the chance to let his tyres down!

CanIBuffalo · 26/05/2018 22:33

Never mind all that, what about your DH leaving you with no car keys!Shock
