To think the Irish Abortion Referendum outcome will be a close call?

Polling day is within touching distance and from what I’ve seen on my social media channels, the vast majority seem to be swaying towards voting to Repeal. Do we think this is a true reflection of the majority or are the No side just less likely to be vocal on their social media channels? Whatever the outcome, I think it will be close.

What are everyone else’s thoughts?

traciebanbanjo · 25/05/2018 22:24

Anasnake · 25/05/2018 22:25

Getting very emotional reading all the posts on twitter. I hope it's true

OohMavis · 25/05/2018 22:27

I'm just blown away. Please be right!

ThatEscalatedQuickly · 25/05/2018 22:28

No side spokesperson has conceded on twitter.

trixymalixy · 25/05/2018 22:28

The exit poll!!! Please, please be right!!

moredoll · 25/05/2018 22:31

I hope the exit poll is right. A resounding 'Yes' settles it.
I think what got overlooked is that older voters are the ones who would have suffered or known someone close who had suffered as a result of the inhumane stance that was taken.

angelnix · 25/05/2018 22:34

I really hope those exit polls are correct, but am a bit hesitant to celebrate just yet

dustarr73 · 25/05/2018 22:35

If the outcome of the referendum on same sex marriage is a guide, then I would expect a yes vote
I said that earlier hopefully Irelamd has come a long way
Voted for gay marriage
First openly gay prime minister
Catholic Church lost its grip 😊😊

hownowpowpow · 25/05/2018 22:40

Keeping everything crossed that the exit polls are right. It's very encouraging anyway. What a day for this country's women if it is. Can't wait to hear the official results tomorrow. This will be life changing for so many woman. Finally

chartreuse · 25/05/2018 22:41

87% of 18-24 year olds voted for repeal

There was a huge drive in universities, colleges and schools to register these voters which paid off in spades

horizontilting · 25/05/2018 22:41

Before the poll was published they reckoned it would have an error margin of 1.5% so we look pretty safe.

RTE will have their exit poll out too shortly.

PaulDacreRimsGeese · 25/05/2018 22:42

It could be wrong but I don't see how it could be anything like that wrong.
