To wonder why both Duchesses are so thin?

Talking about both the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex. And ok, I know IABU, but I thought I'd namechange and put it out there to see if other posters agreed. Putting my tin hat on, as I know I'll get lots of criticism for my gossipy thread. Oh well!

Both Catherine and Meghan are beautiful women with naturally lovely figures. But they are both so so extremely thin! Right now Kate is less thin, I assume because of her recent pregnancy and new baby, but no doubt she'll bounce back to her usual skinniness soon.

Kate was nowhere this thin before getting engaged and married into the RF. Meghan has always been very slim, but is now thinner than ever and I bet she won't gain the weight back. I remember even Diana lost loads of weight as soon as she got engaged and married! And she stayed very thin from then onwards.

Why does it seem like extreme thinness is a prerequisite to be a royal wife?

Ginny it doesn't work like that. Prince George would be King if William abdicated then it would be Charlotte then Louis. Any children they had would be before Harry too..

I'm convinced all the rich and famous people have access to an amazing slimming drug that us fat plebs can't get hold of. I would have to eat nothing to be as thin as Meagan.

How easy it must be to be slim when you're wealthy enough to have your own chefs. No temptation to go in the fridge looking for tasty titbits. Just ask the chef to cook something delicious but low fat. I don't admire slim royals, it's all too easy. Plus their own swimming pool, gym etc.

Millions of women manage to be slim without chefs. It's not that hard for a lot of people.

A few posters on here seem very bitter and jealous. What kind of person picks apart someone's figure and makes digs about fertility?
I'm the same size as them, I doubt I could healthily gain weight, I eat the same amount as DP. I've had 3 DC so by no means infertile.

Would be interesting to know the BMI's of some of the posters who seem so irrationally angry about another persons body size.

With the real women thing I see that as a counter to female celebs who keep themselves artificially skinny with draconian diet and exercise regimes and personal training that only their wealth gives them access to. In that sense tbey aren't "real" and certainly not to be aspired to. Being naturally thin is another matter.

Only if he finds a way to get rid of George, Charlotte and Louis. Obviously there is historical precedent for that kind of thing, but it was a lot of easier for Richard III because OK magazine didn't exist so nobody would have noticed that they were missing.

Never said it wasn't, but millions struggle too, but like i said how much easier if you have your own chefs, pool and gym.

I'm a size 8, I don't exercise and don't watch what I eat, some people are just slim, maybe some of you should think about that before stating all slim women don't eat or are underweight.

Dawnmist - you can eat healthily cheaply and exercise can be free. I do not buy that only the rich can be slim and healthy. Surely it's a state of mind. Megan hasn't always been rich.

You aren't wrong there. I was 2 sizes smaller with the majority of my intake as coffee, green tea and cigarettes.

You mean the one that acts as a counterbalance to the slew of messages about thinness being a prerequisite of beauty, desirability, employability and moral acceptability, and the apparent normality of constant diets, weightloss products, surgical weightloss procedures, etc?

Curves are normal. Obviously some people have them and some don't, but there is no sense in which curves are only found on obese people. The fact that you believe this message to encourage obesity, FirstStep, and believe that messages that validate the normal bodies of normal women are somehow subversive, pretty much sums up the problem.

It doesnt act as a counterbalance, that would mean the messages of being slim were equal they arent.
There is meme after meme about real women have curves, If a slim woman was to make up a stupid message about that there would be uproar. Its a stupid message to put across, Every woman is a real woman no matter what their shape.

Sorry to cause offence but I’m merely referring to her mixed race heritage. I do believe most mixed race people are very physically and visually attractive due to having the best of both worlds! I’m black btw

I remember a teacher of mine calling her fat, yes. This was in the 90s though when the average was much thinner than now.
