To think urinating in the shower isn't a bad thing?

It all gets washed away anyway and you can clean yourself straight after Confused how come some people see this on a par apparently with dirtiness Kim+Aggie would faint at?

I love peeing in the shower, such a beautiful feeling

daffodildelight · 23/05/2018 16:22

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I thought it was being encouraged by the powers that be to reduce water consumption.

RoseWhiteTips · 23/05/2018 16:43

You have revoltingly low standards of hygiene.

GladAllOver · 23/05/2018 16:51

What's revolting about washing your pee down the drain with lots of soapy water?

When you wash your arse, what happens with the filthy water? It runs down your legs just the same.

If you don't want anything dirty to touch you in the shower, you'd better not have a shower at all.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 23/05/2018 16:57

The drains from my shower open up into a top drain where in theory the grey water can be collected and recycled

The drains from my toilet go into the underground drain

Lots of households have this kind of drain arrangement so peeing into a shower is disgusting

Isn't recycled grey water only used for flushing the toilet anyway? If so, some incredibly dilute urine isn't a big deal! Also, by that logic it's pretty gross of me to shower when I have my period, as quite a lot of blood and uterine tissue ends up down the plug hole.

TSSDNCOP · 23/05/2018 17:00

Holy gravity Batman, if you wee in the shower it goes down, not up!

MN is st times the global HQ of uptight.

Trinity66 · 23/05/2018 17:01

If a woman does a wee in the shower, how the hell can it get on the walls and shower curtain? Trinity, I'm intrigued.

You're the one who added woman into my comment, I have teenage boys in my house and yes we do wash the shower curtain to whoever posted that but I'd rather not have to do that every couple of days!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 23/05/2018 17:02

It's odd that people even give it a second thought.

Don't you clean the shower after using it anyway?

Trinity66 · 23/05/2018 17:04

Don't you clean the shower after using it anyway?

After everytime you use it? No, do you? Shock

Pebblespony · 23/05/2018 17:04

After having a baby it was the ONLY place I could wee.

crunchymint · 23/05/2018 17:05

No I don't clean the shower after every use. That would mean cleaning it at least twice a day.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 23/05/2018 17:06

Yes I give it a quick spray after it's been used, why the Shock?

GladAllOver · 23/05/2018 17:06

My shower goes into the same drain as the WC.
If your shower runs into a separate drain for reuse, I trust you don't wash your rectum into it, or wash period blood and tissues down there. Both far more insanitary than urine.

Interestingly all the comments about wee splashing up legs in the shower, my mare wont pee in the paddock on hard ground because of that very reason. It splashes up her legs and she hates it

My dog hates weeing on pavement or other hard surface, and I've often wondered if it's because of splashback.

I'm not so fussy, I can pee anywhere and often find that getting in the shower makes me want to pee, even if I've not long had one. I work in the community in a rural area with NO public toilets, so often have to use fields, woods etc. On one occasion, I was so bloody desperate I pulled into a lay-by and just squatted between the front and back doors.

A lot of the homes I visit are so squalid that the lay-by was probably more hygienic.

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 23/05/2018 17:10

...because there is no U bend (as my mother told me...again..and again...)

blackteasplease · 23/05/2018 17:11

Weeing in shower is lovely!

Trinity66 · 23/05/2018 17:12

I never heard of anyone cleaning the shower after every use is all Grin

GladAllOver · 23/05/2018 17:13

Where is there no U bend?
It's required on any sort of indoor drain connection.

tobee · 23/05/2018 17:13

I used to wee on dog walks when I had a dog (in the bushes). He used to come up and touch his nose on my bare arse. Grin

myusernamewastakenbyme · 23/05/2018 17:13

I wee'd in the bath today...not sorry.

ciderhouserules · 23/05/2018 17:14

Yes I give it a quick spray after it's been used - with what? Cleaner? Bleach? Or water Hmm I don't clean my shower/bath more than once a month. (But then we don't use the bath other than to shower.)

There IS a u-bend. On all outlets. It's underneath the shower tray/sink/basin.

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 23/05/2018 17:15

" Where is there no U bend?

damn it looks as though mother was lying to me for all those years...Grin

This thread has reminded me to ask older DS to go out later and pee on the compost!

Better to ask him to do it first thing in the morning. Apparently, the stuff in pee that accelerates the composting process is at its most concentrated then.

Bob Flowerdew on Gardeners' Question Time refers to this practice as "adding recycled beer and cider" and thoroughly recommends it. Grin My ex refused to do it, so I used to wee in a bucket and carry it up to the compost heap to chuck it on.

SharronNeedles · 23/05/2018 17:17

Meh, my toilet is in a different room from the shower so I'd rather just piddle as I wash!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 23/05/2018 17:19

I use Method shower clear, it's gentle and smells nice. What's the fuss about that then?!?
