Why is MOD getting all the negative comments re. exploiting her children, when FOD does it so much worse? How does he get away with it unscathed?

I know we are not allowed to discuss that person, but how is this all so wrong? She's very lucky it's not picked up on her attitude to her Instagram and followers and the comments she made and DM she sent, as that would be mortifying but the use of kids and ads is relevant except that her husband is 100x worse and his entire account is based on his kids as is his book!!

FOD does it so much worse? How does he get away with it unscathed?

Caperberries - Not on the same level as the criticism aimed at MOD. And he hasn't felt the need to delete his Instagram account over it. FOD has twice as many followers.

Oddish - sadly, you are right.

They are writing about MOD as she's deleted her account. if she hadn't they wouldn't be writing about her - simple.

I think it's more the hypocrisy and bully screams that focused everything on CH as opposed to SH. CH has been known to send direct messages to people, put screenshots in her stories, reply to comments, in such a way that portrays her badly, often rude and aggressive. Where as the nearest SH got to it was wankergate sarcastic stories.

It's not as clear as man Vs woman. However, SHs account was always engineered this way, where as CHs changed. She also has a role which is subject to tight social media controls, which some have questioned.

I do think she has had more attention than others, but I don't think it's entirely unjustified.

@mrsfortunamajor or could it be because she has commented on here and also because she has the most interaction with followers. Father of Daughters retains a professional distance, he's never commented on here (to my knowledge) he doesn't get in spats, he answers comments with humour or info but he doesn't actually cross the line. His job and workplace (although I think he said he now works from home 4 days a week?) have never been named and actually the majority of the info slips and oversharing of info have been from his wife's account and that's where you see the over invested fans, who 'love' her and 'miss' her, and she brightens their day etc.
I'm pretty sure that whilst FOD's account is child based, he's never had stories of them in uniform or actually identified their home address and stuff, so as she has she has endured more attention and discussion.

I'm pissed off with those articles. This all kicked off because of comments left on MOD's account that we're fuck all to do with using her kids to advertise. I bet they've trawled through these threads (because MOD has deleted her account and any evidence) and just picked one of the things we've been discussing on here.

And actually, FOD uses the kids, especially the twins, way more than Clemmie does. And he's been roundly criticised for it too.

@pavlovaprincess if they've trawled the threads then I do think she's come off lightly. Those screenshots off her page of comments made by her and others are so cringe.

That timeinc interview is so bad. Simon and her need a break because they are bickering, and they are going away in the summer although they just went to Florida but that was work?
I'd have unfollowed a lot sooner if I'd read that. To tell an interviewer you are bickering and need a break from the lifestyle she'd just described!!
I'm now going to take a break as I think she's lucky that's all that got printed after how she conducted herself and if she activates her account again I hope she's a bit more grateful for her life and opportunities and stops making out it's all poor me.

I don't really think it's a male/female thing it's just that FOD doesn't care as much, he doesn't interact as much, he's not heavily invested in the Instagram community, he's not really arsed what people say about him.

None of this would have happened if Clemmie would have just shrugged her shoulders are said 'meh, not everyone like me - so what.'

Being unable to accept or deal with any criticism gets people's back up and makes the situation worse and worse. Deleting her account in a huff has only fuelled that further.

Completely agree with you @MediocrePenguin - there is a reason many female influencers don't really feature in these discussions, and certainly not for any length of time and as prolifically as MOD and I don't believe FOD "getting off lightly" is to do with him being a man.

I feel like every aspect of MOD's life is our there - she shares everything and she seems to find it very hard to separate MOD from Clemmie Hooper. I couldn't tell you what Simon does on his nights off, who he socialises with, where he works, what he thinks about x, y or z. MOD (and others who crop up here a lot, but to a lesser extent) share everything.

If you think the spotlight isn’t shone so harshly on SH because he’s a man you need to wake up a little. Men get an easier ride, no one wants to question, women are fair game to be picked apart and ‘called’ out. SH is thoroughly exploiting his toddlers and all he gets is a gentle ribbing. I don’t agree with the things CH has done or how she dealt with them but as an OD unit, she has come out of this far worse and, from what I’ve seen time and time again, it comes down to the fact that she is a woman.

FOD's had a lot more than a gentle ribbing. I'm guessing you missed #notawanker (which incidentally, is the only thing that FOD has ever responded to and that was through his IG stories).
