There didn’t seem to be any follow up info of the Madagascar trip, what was raised, what changes were implemented. There certainly didn’t appear to be any lessons learned

It felt like the water aid trip was badly organised, I would’ve expected a good run of clear, focussed posts and supporting posts from other IGers.

ABuck some people on here are still attempting to stick to those issues. But I agree, I can't really be bothered to post at the moment because it's all 'ooooh look what x is saying about x' and I'm too old for that shit.

This back and forth bickering, it’s getting nasty now. The stories, the news articles, the comments on the news articles, lots of the comments on here. It has gone too far.

Theres an IG account that does just that but is all about Irish Influencers and their bullshit @Bullnoway

I'm amazed nobody has set one up for here to be honest.
What's interesting about the account is that the person behind it is a mystery blogger herself.As she goes to all the events and things but nobody knows who she is.
Some of the things she has put up showing Irish Influencers behaviour is unbelievable.
One sticks out in my mind. Certain influencers were paid to promote the importance of wearing your seatbelt correctly and also how you shouldn't use your phone when driving.
Next thing you know, videos are being posted from these peoples insta stories showing them doing the opposite.One of them snapchats her friend driving to an event and both have their seatbelts just around their waists as(And this is a direct quote) "I wear it like this so it doesn't ruin my fake tan"

I also pointed out yesterday that it's all being blown out of proportion, but nobody really cared to respond to that...

News articles like the guardian and Hadley Freeman’s are surely ok? Otherwise how can we talk about privacy?

I’ve just been coming back to tease Cady about her MoD obsession. I’ve no idea who half of these accounts discussed are. The acronyms don’t help at all. But when I have worked out who they are and had a nosey I’ve been shocked at what’s going on, here and there.

What comments on here? It’s the Instagram commenters who seem to get the mega bitch on and slam anyone who doesn’t fan girl. It’s masked with this “be kind” or “sisterhood” trope but that’s inauthentic.

I don’t see bitchyness on here. I do see some challenging conversations and I think perhaps those of the IG privilege and who are maybe a bit wet behind the ears can’t get their point across without resorting to poor me! Haters!

This latest kerfuffle came about because someone shared their experience of an event ran by an instamum, which has caused ripples and I think it fits into the same transparency bracket as the discussion on #ad as these are the same people who do #ads. If there is no room for civilised discussion on differing opinions on an event, how can it be expected on ads and ethics. I think it’s very telling and relevant that most of the instamums being discussed are not interested in engaging in an objective manner.

I completely understand that insta is an echo chamber of sycophants and discussion can't really take place there. But it has all blown up out of all proportion now.

Never laid eyes on TMWC before but looked at her stories - jesus christ love! Fuck me! That was really really bad!

that's Soaper Duper then, who did donate a lot of money to charity so that is something i suppose. i just wonder what aim of the trip and campaign was - to raise awareness or funding or both?
i remember seeing posts about it and they did seem to be posts in isolation.
but i don't understand Laura H's involvement, s/o yesterday seemed to say she was on the trip to? Was it a press trip where they take several people? Both Soaper Duper and Water Aid only focused on the Hoopers in their campaigns. So was LH there as a journalist/blogger but in the background?

I agree with Oddish it's the same transparency as ads and gifts.

Also, as far as I'm aware, no one on the MN side has called anyone a 'fucking prick' or been anywhere near as abusive 'passionate' as the grammers have been.

It's all just so embarrassing.
