"NB has taken the BLAH BLAH BLAH photo post down - dunno why, though it was a post about being kind cow she’s got feelings too"

kind cow? I am kind alpaca.

EeebyMum · 24/05/2018 14:04

@sugarbunker Haha.

*cos not cow

Misterpostman · 24/05/2018 14:06

I would be interested to know what mothers meetings will be advising about children on line, at their meeting in Greenwich tomorrow.

Misterpostman · 24/05/2018 14:08

Or perhaps it is today?

Oddish · 24/05/2018 14:23

Hi thatmumwithcancer! Thanks for addressing me in your stories, I absolutely will not dm you or ‘show my face’. I do not want to be a target of your aggression so anonymously is fine for now.

nipersvest · 24/05/2018 14:23

what was NB's 'blah' post?

(only asking as I used that exact phrase in a post here earlier)

SugarBunker · 24/05/2018 14:25

Eeeby ok that makes more sense but not as fun as image of nice herd animal

I checked out that mum with cancer's fucking prick story
i'm sorry but that was so hilarious, i know wasn't meant that way
but her vocal intonations on certain words when she was particularly outraged cracked me up. Particularly when praising wee slice for arranging free event "....in LONDON!" as if London is the moon
also emphasis on providing cocktails "....and GOODIE BAGS". I thought she was going to combust at that point.

Misterpostman · 24/05/2018 14:38

I am completely horrified by the behaviour of some instamums in their stories in the last few days. How can they possibly think any brands would want to be associated with them?

Oddish · 24/05/2018 14:41

Stories disappear though, that’s why it’s all being kept there and not in the ‘squares’ . Reminds me too much of the snapchat shite that happens amongst teenagers.

Misterpostman · 24/05/2018 14:42

Oddish That's so true!

It must be so infuriating for them that MN is anonymous and that we can't be silenced.

PavlovaPrincess · 24/05/2018 14:43

@Oddish u got this, Hun Grin

#istandwithoddish

EeebyMum · 24/05/2018 14:44

Before I turn mute off can I ask is TMWC a ‘I say it as I see it’

Oddish · 24/05/2018 14:45

pavlova Thanks babes, I know I can do this with my mumsnet girl gang club crew behind me.

  • waits for this to be screenshot in someone’s stories as a legit comment 🙄
Oddish · 24/05/2018 14:46

She is what she is eeby so fuck off 😬

EeebyMum · 24/05/2018 14:49

I tell it how I find it @oddish I’m not an anti-social knobhead im actually just honest

Oddish · 24/05/2018 14:51

Sorry eeby I was just quoting the end of her stories. I think she is being honest in how she feels too, I really do, but it comes over extremely aggressive and I don’t like it.

SugarBunker · 24/05/2018 14:51

I didn't see the shout out to you Oddish when I looked at TMWC's stories so i just looked again
cripes
horrible
did snort though at her saying she preferred "passionate" to "aggressive" in memory of poster on last thread saying instead of "whackos" they should have said "passionate people"

also wtf are companies donating £49 shoes in form of a voucher for goodie bags. it wasn't a charity event. i know it's easy to cry there are underprivileged people going hungry and shoeless but really, there are.

Oddish · 24/05/2018 14:53

Yes I’m a spineless coward, apparently. But there’s no way I’m linking my IG account to my MN account! I get different things out of both and never the twain shall meet.

EeebyMum · 24/05/2018 14:54

@oddish I know, and I agree, I was attempting to be funny

Mummyshephard · 24/05/2018 14:55

I feel the same Sugar, it’s so crass. The Scummy Mummies recently came back from a trip to Nepal to feature women living in poverty in their podcast. The following week, one of them had a mishap with some crumpets & SEVEN hours later a hamper from Warburtons full of food arrived at their door which they had no qualms about posting on Instagram. It was so inappropriate, there are people who truly needed that food

Oddish · 24/05/2018 14:56

Arghh sorry eeby I’m more of a read it as you see it & didn’t twig Blush

SugarBunker · 24/05/2018 15:01

"A mishap with some crumpets" 🤣
Yes all so crass
I still waiting for poster from last night to let me know what Laura H's criticism of Madagascar trip was because poverty porn and charity trips not being as charitable as they are billed is big concern and that should be talked about openly

Bullnoway · 24/05/2018 15:06

Wow. Just prompted to look. That is pure aggression - not passion. To say it's "where I'm from"/ "how I speak" is BULLSH*T.

I really, really wish someone would create an Instagram account and just post screengrabs of all the aggressive DMs/ comments and videos of the stories - so that people can be held to account for their words/tone.

ABuckToothedGirlinLuxembourg · 24/05/2018 15:06

This has all just got completely out of hand now. I’m truly shocked how all this has gone.

I’m aware I’m not REALLY involved in any of this instamums stuff, I only ended up on these threads because they filtered over from bloggers and brands in style and beauty. But there has to come a point where you all think STOP. You as mumsnetters and the instamums too. Discussing the lack of ad transparency was fine, I think it has crossed the line now........On both sides. This is just my opinion obviously, and I’m sure it will be ignored. But enough is enough surely?

nipersvest · 24/05/2018 15:08

I think Laura's point was does the cost to a charity of taking people out to places like Madagascar to raise awareness actually result in anything tangible.

since MOD and FOD were/are such great supporters of Wateraid, perhaps they will be donating a portion of their book royalties to the charity?
