I tried watching one of those haul Youtubers (who shall remain nameless). They spent 20 minutes describing a top they'd bought.

It reminded me a bit of QVC.

MarshaBradyo · 23/05/2018 22:01

Sugar name change?

I think oh wouldn’t that be nice re the beautiful houses on the architectural accounts on IG but no jealousy as I really do just like seeing pretty pictures

jamoncrumpets · 23/05/2018 22:03

My YouTube tastes extend to Dr Pimple Popper. That's about it. Sorry, I'm not my usual more thoughtful self on here tonight. Have been at hospital with DC all day (who is fine, fast asleep) and have pretty much collapsed on my bed for the night.

SugarBunker · 23/05/2018 22:06

Marsha yeah. accidental name change fail or sock puppeting.

AdidasGirl · 23/05/2018 22:06

I just don't get it..

"How I organise my bedside table"

"How I pack for holidays"

"My candle collection"

"How I organise and rotate my mugs"

These are all Mummy YouTubers videos.

I know I shouldn't know the above but forgive me as I'm having some harsh treatment which means I'm in hospital for a half day twice a week and there's only so many podcasts I can listen to.

AdidasGirl · 23/05/2018 22:07

I'm with you on that @jamoncrumpets
I love a large cyst or POW.

MarshaBradyo · 23/05/2018 22:11

Oh no I couldn’t even the thought of it!

Sugar I’m too tired to see it

Jam glad all ok, Adidas hope all ok

AdidasGirl · 23/05/2018 22:16

Thanks @MarshaBradyo It is what it is..

Anyway..Apart from the deleted ones other half..

Are there Other big InstaDad accounts?

I've never had anyone other than him pop up on my suggested follows?

Boredandtired · 23/05/2018 22:17

Maybe that's why jealousy is referred too so much, whilst it's not a lifestyle I'd like, perhaps many followers do, which is why they assume anyone who doesn't fawn or who dares to question or criticise must be jealous.
I've tried hard to follow those speed organise cleaners in the vague hope it would inspire me on a daily basis, but I never find the time to watch them let alone then follow through on what I've seen!
I'm a planet saver, and shopping hauls truly offend me.
I've been a mum long enough to know that everyone generally does their best and feels the way about their kids the way I feel about mine so I don't buy into 'perfect' feeds and lifestyles. We all have off days and arguments and our kids drive us nuts. Our limits are all different.
My page looks fairly tranquil and perfect, but my life only was for the 1 second I took the photo!

PavlovaPrincess · 23/05/2018 22:17

According to CadyHeron there are loads of other instadad accounts but when pressed, she couldn't actually name any.

Boredandtired · 23/05/2018 22:20

"How I organise and rotate my muffs"

Is that really a thing? Mind would currently be, how do I stop my children from smashing mine.

Boredandtired · 23/05/2018 22:20

Oh good lord sorry Blush mugs...

Boredandtired · 23/05/2018 22:22

@pavlovaprincess hmm yes I asked a few times as was genuinely interested but no reply, and then had a good old search myself and there's barely any that I can find.

jeangeniebiglippedmeanie · 23/05/2018 22:25

I now assume when these accounts start asking for recommendations that they’re on the blag.

One was for someone to make her blinds for her beautiful house in Hertfordshire. Just go get your blinds made and stop making a fuss about it.

What gets me as well is the amount of people giving up their jobs to become Instagram influencers Shock

Helipad · 23/05/2018 22:25

Don't mind me popping in but the whole be kind shite reminds me of Handmaid's Tale. I get what it's suppose to mean but I wish it wasn't used as a weapon to shut women up. Seriously, do any of the idiots ever say be kind to a man Hmm

SugarBunker · 23/05/2018 22:25

No doubt there is a youtuber who organises and rotates muffs

Probably on porntube rather than youtube tho'

Oddish · 23/05/2018 22:26

Thedadnetwork is one but it’s jointly run with his wife so not just him dadding really, although if you look at his page you will see many other instadads trying to make it.

Unlikelydad is one that’s growing in popularity - gay dad with a little boy & a (freaking gorgeous) husband

Oddish · 23/05/2018 22:29

Lifeofrileyfamily is someone from gbbo, his Instagram is very daddish

ElspethFlashman · 23/05/2018 22:30

Adidas there's manvsbaby (hilarious), thedadnetwork, daddy to tripletgirls, Tom Fletcher off the top of my head.

Oddish · 23/05/2018 22:30

Oh and of course the ‘hilarious’ ladbabyofficial

Newbieuser1880 · 23/05/2018 22:34

Anyone know why mother of daughters has left Instagram?

Helipad · 23/05/2018 22:34

And while I am at, I do find it astonishing that these grown, adult women can't take any criticism on board. When the first Instamum threads started back in last August ( I think), it was a golden opportunity for any instamum to take notes and up their game. But no, most of them behaved like a spoiled toddlers.

As far as I've seen MP is heads above the self absorbed, her style and account isn't of interest to me but she is clearly intelligent, able to self reflect and take on board opposing point of view. It is quite scary how many are unable to just READ and the complete inability to accept criticism.

Oddish · 23/05/2018 22:35

No idea newbie

ISayOldChap · 23/05/2018 22:38

Oh Ladbaby popped up on my recommended. Even has his own catch phrase. Not my cup of tea.

Themultidad is an aspiring FOD, complete with twins, and seems equally relaxed about child privacy issues Hmm Also has a wife with a "multi"-punned moniker.

Boredandtired · 23/05/2018 22:52

I followTom Fletcher and daddy of triplet girls, although I'm not sure how long I will follow the latter, I feel I know the faces and clothes of those little girls more than my own children so I may have to unfollow. His account and mummy to triplet girls are fairly alike and it's a bit overload. He did a post today though that showed 86% of his followers were female which I wonder is representative of Instagram users as a whole? Or whether it's just the fact he has triplet babies. He was asking my for more male followers I think. My OH is not on IG, but he would rather gouge his own eyes at that endlessly look at photos of other people children. He struggles to take photos of his own as he 'sees them all the time'!
I found manvsbaby last week and he's quite funny, but haven't quite gone for the follow.
I like @foxsaidwhat he's had some really good mental health posts and is a young new dad, (and stepdad) but I think he's about 18 so I feel a bit old and weird following him.
