I mean one minute you’re in la teaching yoga the next you’re meeting the queen, accompanying your daughter through crowds of 100,000s of cheering crowds knowing millions are watching round the world, you have no other friends or family there to support you, yet you look calm, dignified and absolutely stunning in your outfit. What a wonderful lady

I thought she looked really lovely and very youthful. A credit to her dd and vice versa.

I do wonder how she feels though. Obviously happy that her dd is happy but I suppose her life, and their mother/daughter relationship will now be vastly different. I think I'd feel like I'd lost my dd a bit if she had married into the RF.

ScrubTheDecks · 19/05/2018 19:18

She looked fabulous.
I loved her calm centred dignity. And also she was clearly so emotional.

I wish she had had a friend or a sister to sit with, though.

couchparsnip · 19/05/2018 19:20

Why was she on her own? She must have felt outnumbered with all those royals.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 19/05/2018 19:21

YANBU. She was fabulous.

Aquamarine1029 · 19/05/2018 19:53

Doria is amazing. So poised and confident, and her daughter clearly took after her. She looked stunning today.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 19/05/2018 19:59

She looked beautiful, very dignified and together on a day which must have been so overwhelming. I did feel for her being on her own, but she handled it all perfectly.

ChattyLion · 19/05/2018 20:00

I think Doria is fantastic.

OlennasWimple · 19/05/2018 20:01

She rocked today

BMW6 · 19/05/2018 20:02

Fabulous lady. couchparsnip read the newspapers

Smellylittleorange · 19/05/2018 20:05

She was great. I couldnt imagine my daughter going over to another family let alone a royal one !

abigailsnan · 19/05/2018 20:11

What an amazing lady she is and she looked stunning her being a yoga instructor certainly made for her cool & calm composure. It would be wonderful if she moved here to be close to her daughter to give her further support in the years to come.

clumsyduck · 19/05/2018 20:14

Totally agree ! Said that to my lot when we were all watching earlier . She looked gorgeous too

Inkanta · 19/05/2018 20:16

Yes a strong and loving mum, and very pretty.

TheRealMotherGoose · 19/05/2018 20:27

Yep! She truly walked like a queen. I thought she was brave to sit there on her own but she rocked it.

ScattyCharly · 19/05/2018 20:29

Yes I do agree. but also this wedding is leading to her daughter emigrating. Which must be extremely painful for her.

TheRealMotherGoose · 19/05/2018 20:29

And to see a prince's mother in law with beautiful dreadlocks! I also admired the discreet nose stud, but there is such stigma and pressure on black women to chemically treat and straighten their hair that it shows real oomph to keep it natural and she looked fantastic and such a great role model.

I think there's something in my eye...

pollyhampton · 19/05/2018 20:30

I am no fan but I thought Prince Charles was very sweet and really looked out for her especially when they went to sign the register and he held her hand. I hope they keep Doria close, she rocks!

Dandeliontea123 · 19/05/2018 20:31

She looked beautiful, and is clearly a woman of strength, like her daughter.

Yorkshirebetty · 19/05/2018 20:31

Doria looked lovely, classy and elegant. I felt sorry that she was there on her own. I liked the way that Charles held her hand on the way out. He and Camilla also sent flowers to her hotel room. I hope she's having a great evening!

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 19/05/2018 20:31

I agree and I also wish she had imported a BFF for the day . I don’t know her and don’t know her reasons . But wish she had !

BlueJava · 19/05/2018 20:31

I agree with you, she was amazing to do all that on her own with a massive amount of attention on her and remain so poised. However, I think it would have been better if she had been with a close friend (even if they didn't know Meghan) or if the RF had suggested someone (perhaps they did and she said no which is obviously up to her). If it was my mum I'd have asked a friend to be with her.

TheRealMotherGoose · 19/05/2018 20:33

Going to disagree here -- as a single mother, I found it really powerful to see her there by herself. It could have looked awkward but actually she just made it look great, and it was very empowering to watch her do that so gracefully.

TawandaT · 19/05/2018 20:34

Absolutely fabulous lady! I loved everything about her.

cleofatra · 19/05/2018 20:34

I agree with all but she seemed so completely and utterly alone. It was quite deeply sad.

StealthPolarBear · 19/05/2018 20:34

Pictures of the hand holding please :o
I love that Harry's mil is a social worker.
