Meghan's dress was lovely but lumpy looking,/ill fitting bra look

Anyone else notice how lumpy it looked at front like when you wear a bra that's two small and you have two cleavages lt spoiled it for me tbh though l think she looked stunning. I thought it might just be the light as it is quite shimmery but have noticed it in several shots /light now. A wardrobe malfunction?

I m sure with all the stress megan has probably dropped pounds of weight - plus the dress is supposed to be demure .. I thought she looked beautiful - as with kate wearing cream - you know all these colours are pre chosen - so everyone would have been aware what colour kate was going to wear. Everyone looked gorgeous - it was a beautiful wedding on a beautiful day. :)

TheDowagerCuntess · 20/05/2018 22:52

As for the 'losing a few pounds' excuse for it being ill-fitting, my mum took in my wedding dress a bit just the day before my wedding for this very reason. With the number of attendees looking after the soon-to-be-duchess, how would this ever be an excuse for the looseness around the collarbones?

This!

Crazy to think her dress wouldn't have been being altered right up to the last minute.

The skimming fit was exactly how it was meant to be.

Re their charity work, they requested no gifts, any money to be given to a charity in India which employs poor women to make sanitary products for women who can’t afford them, so it’s a win/ win for women ! So stuck that in your pipes all you miserable sods who are slagging them off!

CoolCarrie · 20/05/2018 22:56

And a representative of the charity was at the wedding!

SamanthaBrique · 20/05/2018 22:59

She wrote a fairly well-received op-ed about period poverty for Time before her and Harry's relationship was public knowledge. But some MN posters 'know' it must've been ghost-written so...

stuckinagut · 20/05/2018 22:59

Must admit I was a bit 'oh' when she first got out the car, and I usually prefer less-is-more. Can't really believe how much it cost either - what is it that the designer actually designed for all that money! Loved the veil though and evening dress was super chic.

blueskypink · 20/05/2018 23:00

Her oval neckline was frumpy.

Christ - I've heard it all now.

Anyway - what do people think about the fit of Harry's uniform? Sleeves looked a bit long to me and the trousers looked a bit oddly baggy around the knees. And surely his beard could have done with a tidy?

Oh wait .... it's only women who get slated for their appearance ...

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/05/2018 23:08

Only thing I thought was odd was that when the car door opened she was sitting on the opposite side rather than next to it. So the page boys came out first and then she had to climb out herself with no one left in the car to wrangle her veil.

LardLizard · 20/05/2018 23:11

Harry looked like he needed some factor 50

Movablefeast · 20/05/2018 23:17

This may have been covered but I think the clear white color was a good choice next to Harry's dark uniform.

The twins carrying her veil reminded me of Harry Potter though but in a good way!

manicmij · 20/05/2018 23:20

The shoulder style of the dress probably caused the bodice to look kind of too big. There was no suport normally acquired from having some sort of shoulder. Given the neckline, the problems that cam cause, the dress was wonderful and her veil , out of this world.

biscuitraider · 21/05/2018 00:01

Women in the media often define themselves by their appearance. Men often aren't that arsed what they wear, and we tend not to notice as much. One suit looks much like another. MM wore a fifty grand dress for her engagement, of course she's going to get talked about more than Harry. But this was a WEDDING, all eyes were on the bride, what the heck did you expect, or are we only allowed to say how wonderful it was.

Bettyfood · 21/05/2018 00:07

Get a life OP. She looked amazing. The dress fitted perfectly. People are used to clothes looking too tight.

BertrandRussell · 21/05/2018 06:41

William was obviously trying to upstage Harry with all that gold. But it didn’t work- a groom always looks radiant on his special day and his glow of happiness just eclipsed everyone around him.

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 21/05/2018 06:50

Bertrand 😀

Pensionista · 21/05/2018 06:51

Whywhywhywhywhyyy

I thought yours was the funniest comment on here....ie........Megan is 'Apple Shaped' ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. All I can say to that is God help us all ha ha ha ha😂😂😂😂😂😂

AhoyDelBoy · 21/05/2018 07:02

After seeing a gazillion pictures on Instagram the dress has defineatley grown on me. It looks better in photographs than live IMO. I'm still disappointed I didn't get that gasp wow moment like I did with Kate. Harry got his wow moment though so at the end of the day that's all that matters Smile

SoupDragon · 21/05/2018 07:03

It was a shame the pageboys carried the veil. Surely it would have been more stunning if left to flow behind her?

I think it would have snagged everything and rolled up into a long thin line rather than fan out of left to flow.

AhoyDelBoy · 21/05/2018 07:03

*definitely
Jeepers where did that spelling come from Blush

NaturalBornWoman · 21/05/2018 07:06

Can't really believe how much it cost either - what is it that the designer actually designed for all that money!

Well for one thing the fabric was bespoke. Then it was a Givenchy couture gown and all...

Hilarious comments on this thread, frumpy, should have had a spiky crown and a fishtail, she's apple shaped...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I thought it was sublime, and I'm quite sure the fit was exactly as planned.

Jackyjill6 · 21/05/2018 07:11

I thought she looked great. I really can't see what all the criticism is about.

gladysp2 · 21/05/2018 07:27

But did anyone else think that Harry’s jacket ‘frills’ looked like a dog that had finished lactating after a massive litter?

malificent7 · 21/05/2018 07:29

Is it just me or is it really sexist to suggest that a divorcee can't wear a showy dress? Where is the logic in that?!
A second marriage is not a lesser marriage.

malificent7 · 21/05/2018 07:30

She looked great BTW.

QueenOfTheAndals · 21/05/2018 07:32

Can't really believe how much it cost either

What, £595? No I can't believe that either...Grin
