Meghan's dress was lovely but lumpy looking,/ill fitting bra look

Anyone else notice how lumpy it looked at front like when you wear a bra that's two small and you have two cleavages lt spoiled it for me tbh though l think she looked stunning. I thought it might just be the light as it is quite shimmery but have noticed it in several shots /light now. A wardrobe malfunction?

FriendlyOcelot You can get anti perspirant that stops you getting wet. Probably not good to use all the time, but on a special occasion...

Gwlondon · 20/05/2018 20:52

I think MM looked lovely. Daily Fail has loads on the dress and apparently there are no seams in the bodice so that’s the point, it’s all about how the fabric is cut and if MM lost weight it would be harder to adjust it to make up for it.
I am overinvested. I really enjoyed the wedding! Need to go and buy a paper to read some more.

Chickoletta · 20/05/2018 21:11

I thought she looked beyond beautiful. The dress was simple elegance and suited her beautifully. MN's nest of vipers had to appear at some point I suppose.

Gwlondon · 20/05/2018 21:14

Actually just saw some seams! Sorry! I was wrong.
MM is loveliness!

LardLizard · 20/05/2018 21:16

Yes I thought that about the bra didn’t give a smooth sillouete they way the dress needed it too

Personally and his if coirse I’d just my taste
I would have liked to seen her hair down, a crown spikey style tiara
And a fishtail shaped dress with some lovely detailing

LardLizard · 20/05/2018 21:17

I just though it was too plain and too boring

But she perhaps wanted to play it safe

LardLizard · 20/05/2018 21:17

The top part of it just looked like any old top you’d wear any day of the week with jeans

SoupDragon · 20/05/2018 21:24

It looked nothing like anything I would wear with jeans that’s for sure.

LardLizard · 20/05/2018 21:28

Yes imagine just the top half as a Bardot top

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 20/05/2018 21:28

The top part of it just looked like any old top you’d wear any day of the week with jeans

No it did not look like " any old too you'd wear with jeans " ridiculous thing to say.

LardLizard · 20/05/2018 21:30

It’s only a pound as well

Meghan's dress was lovely but lumpy looking,/ill fitting bra look
TheDowagerCuntess · 20/05/2018 21:32

I though both dresses were stunning.

They weren't meant to be skin tight. She was going to a wedding, not a club.

Loved the way they both skimmed her lovely, slim figure.

PortiaCastis · 20/05/2018 21:34

Looks like you've got a bargain there Lizard hope they've got it in your size

RedDwarves · 20/05/2018 21:39

Not a fan, and can't help but think it would've been much nicer if it had been designed by Alexander McQueen when he was at Givenchy.

MumsTheWordYouKnow · 20/05/2018 21:50

It did look a bit loose round the bust possibly lost a bit of weight. However she looked bloody amazing. Small detail. The dress was spectacular and so was she. I did wonder why some of the family (Kate, Charles) were looking at their booklets during the important bits whilst guests in the other side, no idea who they were, were smiling and listening. Rather poor I thought.

RoseWhiteTips · 20/05/2018 22:06

I didn’t know she straightened her hair.

Not that it’s my business but I’d love to see her natural hair (I Googled, it’s gorgeous), since she does such a beautiful natural(ish) face.

It is a pity she doesn’t leave it natural. She appears to like her freckles, after all, and they are natural.

carol1234568 · 20/05/2018 22:10

That's exactly what I thought. It wasn't very flattering tbh

RoseWhiteTips · 20/05/2018 22:16

Plumbuddle

But Harry is going to be the next head of commonwealth after Charles, according to the Queen.

The Queen only just swung it for Charles a few weeks’ ago! There had been grumbling among some of the other Commonwealth leaders. Some feel strongly it should be an honour that rotates.

Don’t you remember that? It was in the news, after all.

RoseWhiteTips · 20/05/2018 22:23

Plumbuddle

I've been a bit worried by the counter accusations of bitching. I don't go on MN frequently but it seems to me to be one of those terms which is used against people who disagree with you. This whole thread appears to be dedicated mainly to discussions about couture and fertility, hardly a bitch fest compared to other sites.

Hear hear.

SoupDragon · 20/05/2018 22:28

Someone needs to learn the difference between cheap jersey and heavy silk.

counterpoint · 20/05/2018 22:29

She was going for an innocent look and it didn't work out. Her oval neckline was frumpy. She's never really had the best taste in clothes and the wedding dress was another example. Maybe it's the 'american' in her. They do have a different sense of style than Europeans.

SoupDragon · 20/05/2018 22:30

What I find amusing is that the same posters complaining that, as a divorced woman, she shouldn’t have anything showy are now complaining that her dress was too plain.

MissEliza · 20/05/2018 22:33

It was a shame the pageboys carried the veil. Surely it would have been more stunning if left to flow behind her?

counterpoint · 20/05/2018 22:37

As for the 'losing a few pounds' excuse for it being ill-fitting, my mum took in my wedding dress a bit just the day before my wedding for this very reason. With the number of attendees looking after the soon-to-be-duchess, how would this ever be an excuse for the looseness around the collarbones?

Maybe she's a woman who doesn't care about details.

SomethingOnce · 20/05/2018 22:44

Maybe she's a woman who doesn't care about details.

Maybe she’s not a raging perfectionist. Who knows?
