To think transgender women really have no idea what being a women is ? . Maybe it's time we had a 3rd Gender . Be interested in hearing what real women & transwomen feel ?

As I said before about anyone who dismisses the "vagina," like MB did in the "What Makes a Woman" so called "documentary", they're clearly ignoring how the vagina has been the source of conflict forced onto women/girls were centuries. Biology has to be fundamental in understanding what a women is. It is because we have vaginas that women have been facing centuries of discrimination and violence from men. To dismiss biology of a women is to lack empathy and understanding of women's struggles.

I am honestly still so shocked at how MB (who still has a penis), in that documentary stated "a vagina, its just a body part" - the most understated and flippant comment this century.

There are a lot of truly disgusting, backwards thinking people on this site, who I hope I never meet.

Explain why basic biology is backward thinking and disgusting please?

Explain why men taking over in womens safe spaces, sports, work, prisons etc is forward thinking and fabulous for women?

Perhaps read Currys excellent posts and also educate yourself on how self id will impact on women now and in the future if it goes ahead.

Nobody 'hates' all trans people.

We hate being railroaded into accepting something that is biologically impossible, being told to stfu about womens rights and biology and experiences because it upsets trans to be reminded they never had and cant have those life time of experiences.

What about violent trans activists doing actual physical harm to anyone who disagrees with them, blocking entrances to womens meeting, intimidation and death threats on social media?

Yep cos all trans people, just like the rest of society are all sweet, fluffy kitten loving angels!

Oh and the latest little gem...being told that trans hate us because "we have the amazing ability to have abortions if we get pregnant which is 'denied' trans women"! Get your head round that little gem of wisdom if you can.

No. Transwomen are men who often dress like women, sometimes have surgery to appear like women (but not always) and would like to be seen as being a woman. However, biologically transwomen are men. Its not possible for them to be anything else however much they desire it, and however well they physically pass as looking like a woman. Transwomen are technically a sub set of men. It may be upsetting to some that this is the case, but this is what it is. Anyone who denies this biological fact and insists transwomen are real women are flat earthers imo.

I'm glad that in 20 years time the transphobia of today will be viewed the same way we now look at Jim Crow laws, apartheid, section 28, etc. I'm glad I'm part of the movement towards equality.

This isn’t equality. It’s reinforcing the dominance of men over women. It’s reinforcing crap narrow gender stereotypes that repress everyone. It’s as far for equality as it gets.

It’s nothing akin to the civil rights movement. Civil rights gave people of colour the rights they should always have had without impacting negatively on any other groups rights. Gay rights gave gay people the same rights without damaging anyone else’s safety or rights.

What TRAs want is a removal of safeguarding protections and laws for other groups. It’s actively damaging women and children. It’s a zero sum game. It’s men dominating and it’s not equality.

A more accurate analogy would be if gay marriage had been approved and straight marriage banned, or if white people had been subjected to the Jim Crow laws instead. One group asserting rights at the expense of another.

TRA groups have tagged onto LGB groups for exactly this reason - no one wants to be bigoted and people rightly support gay rights. But TRA ideology is deeply homophobic.

This isn’t equality, and if you think it’s akin to jim crow or section 28 you need to have another look and think carefully about why you think men’s rights should overrule women and children’s rights and safety.

I do not believe that the importance of biological differences should be dismissed or removed.

I've no issue with a man wanting to present themselves more feminine or a woman wanting to present themselves more masculine. Or even if anyone wants to call themselves trans. We should be breaking gender stereotypes rather than reinforcing them.

Transgenderism has been present in human history for centuries in cultures right across the globe. At the last count I think it was 27 countries who currently have self-ID laws....

I'm sure you are retrospectively transing the dead and appropriating cultures you don't understand to make that statement.

I wonder how many of these were men living as women "under the radar" being treated as women and putting up with all that entails. Some perhaps but not many I'd guess. It's a very different proposition to prancing about as openly trans, bullying women and telling them to quite literally "suck it" if they don't like it. That's about as far from "living as a woman" as you can get.
Wealthy and powerful men in the past who enjoyed dressing up as women (while everyone knew who they actually were) is a closer analogy to a modern TRA.

Henri III of France comes to my mind. He was a part timer for the ladies gowns but always a bit effeminate. Bisexual too I think. There are others. All men of power, often royalty. All cross dressers not transsexuals.

The only true good gender reverse I've seen is the ladyboys in Thailand whon look incredibly feminine but maybe that's because thai men are built smaller and tend to have more natural feminine features.

Trans women are people.
I totally accept they identify as women. I appreciate they look feminine and identify as female.
They are, however, male.

They have every right to be treated fairly and not discriminated against as we all do.
I think we need to accept transgender people exist and respect the way they choose to live but we don't have to be bullied into agreeing a transwoman is a female.
I don't like sharing a changing room with anyone, whatever gender.

Men cannot become women, women cannot become men. They can identify as the opposite but it's a biological impossibility to become the other.

There have been women who have posed as men , usually for a particular reason, for example to practice medicine when women were not allowed to study medicine., or those like Hannah Snell who joined the army to find her husband. Good stories but not sure that it proves much. As being gay was a death sentence at various times I can't think what the punishment would be for wanting to be the opposite sex in some societies.And yes I do know about lady boys etc.

Me too. Meanwhile how do we tell the difference between genuine trans people and those that are not genuine [is it the baseball bats?]?

I mean, even TRAs are warning us against violent men in bathrooms.

For years cross dressers were marrying and having children in order to appear normal. Many of them caused years of misery to the wives they were deceiving. Now we're expected to applaud them for coming out (fuck the ex wives) and give them our womens spaces. It's always all about their needs. It's always detrimental to women and children. And of course there were always other women to sympathise then and surprise, surprise, there's other women now.

Sex is binary. Gender is not. So a male may well identify and be a "woman" or gender fluid or whatever while still being sexually male.
