To think transgender women really have no idea what being a women is ? . Maybe it's time we had a 3rd Gender . Be interested in hearing what real women & transwomen feel ?

It’s a new era, thank goodness.
That said, the world turns more slowly than we think, there are still a lot of dinosaurs out there who find it hard to get their heads round what’s really happening.

Just realised that sounded rather patronising. Meant that all my kids have friends of both sexes, gender, sexuality including trans. I’m not trying to get a medal or anything, my point is, today, kids are really neutral and non judgmental

Just to make it clear, I am opposed to self identification.

It would certainly be harmful to women.

For transsexuals and people suffering from genuine dysphoria it will either be pointless or just outright harmful.

Being accepted for who you are is great.

Throwing away all safeguarding procedures, not using common sense and not trying to make sure everyone's needs are met is not great.

For the purposes of the Equality Act, transwomen with GRCs therefore have the protected characteristics of female sex and gender reassignment; transwomen without GRCs have the protected characteristics of male sex and gender reassignment (I'm just referring to transwomen here to keep things simple).

I don't think transgender women identify as a '3rd gender', they identify as female. So let them be female. Doesn't hurt anyone! I'd much rather let people be transgender than let people smoke for instance!

In my humble opinion the world has gone mad!

I have no idea what makes a woman a woman nor a man a man, it appears that these days you can be whatever the hell you like.

To be honest I really couldn't give two hoots, however please don't preach to me you know how women feel if you were born a man and vice versa. Women have fought long and bloody hard to be listened to, vote, be treated equally and to me it belittles everything they've achieved.

Everyone should shut up and crack on living whatever life they want to lead, be kind, be nice, be thoughtful and treat others as you would want to be treated yourself.

The ones who keep insisting men are women just because they say so? I know, its awful, but what can we do about it?

I'm glad that in 20 years time the transphobia of today will be viewed the same way we now look at Jim Crow laws, apartheid, section 28, etc. I'm glad I'm part of the movement towards equality.

I imagine modern sex organ surgery has that problem covered to plug the urine outlet up.

Transgenderism has been present in human history for centuries in cultures right across the globe. At the last count I think it was 27 countries who currently have self-ID laws....
