To feel wierd when a frenemy stalks your insta and fb stories

A while a ago when I left my biz and set up my biz a whole gang of mums disassociated themselves with me. I don’t know why but hey I was upset at the time but I got over it. Thing is my kids are still friends with theirs as it’s a small village. I haven’t unfriended on fb for that reason. But I e noticed they watch my insta and fb stories all the time. They don’t say hello to me in public. It feels creepy but I’m worried if I block them my kids will suffer...

How do you know they watch?

You can see it on Insta, it shows who’s looked at a story.

You can see who’s watched at the bottom of the screen

How Odd! Is it a jealousy thing perhaps i.e. you starting your own business? Let them stalk you...and make sure they know how great you are doing! Petty women honestly.

And how do you know they are watching you? Do you mean they like your posts?

Then change your privacy settings. It seems really odd to me that you would put something out to a group of people and be surprised that all of that group of people may look at it.

Eric, yeah I guess because my page is public as part of my business- I understand your point, it’s just if I change my settings now they’ll obviously know I’ve blocked them

Iceswan yes they blank. Trouble is one of them is my son’s best friend’s mum. I’m a Life coach and go live on my coaching page, she always watches but never writes anything in the comments when I say hello to her. It’s annoying

Is your new 'biz' a mlm one? If so they may be watching your insta/fb stories in horrified fascination...

I tend to just start at the first story on the top of my insta, and let it play through all the new stories from people I follow. If there's something I'm not interested in I just tap to get to the next one.

Have never given it much thought, but I guess if we were friends it would seem like I was watching all your stories.

TBH I probably 'watch' loads of stories that I'm not actually absorbing. They autoplay so even though it says I'm watching, I'm probably tap-tap-tapping until I get to one I care about :P

Not sure I believe you. People who have a legitimate business tend to actually bother to use the full word.

If you use digital media for your business, you can't just block people for looking at your posts! Surely it's what you want.
Although I know a life coach and look at her FB and insta posts and am amazed at the crap she spouts It makes no sense, and bangs on about finding your TRUTH

Sonders, well I get that I do the same. It’s just feels a bit voyeuristic when the people in question don’t speak to you in real life, like why would they be bothered? I was in that position I just don’t follow their posts
