To hate Jo Wiley

Not personally obviously, surprisingly enough I don't know her, but I love the Radio 2 Drivetime programme and she is going to ruin it. I find her voice grating, she has a babyish breathy style that is highly irritating. The Drivetime show was perfect and now they have got rid of homework, foody Thursday with Nigel and they are getting rid of MATT!!!! Are they crazy???

I'm all for gender equality but why can't Jo share a show with Steve Wright as his show is already awful.

I know I may be getting this out of proportion but it feels like this show is part of my life and it's just gone.

Can't stand the "trying to be cool" schtick that she does. It's trying to be Annie Nightingale (remember her) and failing.
But if other people like her, that's fine. I'll just switch off or over to something else's.

Aargh the R2 change is upsetting me so much! I love Simon and I love Jo - but they don't belong on that show together
Simon sounds disengaged, Jo is great as always but dominating the proceedings somewhat.
Drivetime used to be fun, interesting, just full of everyday stuff which appealed to my kids as much as us parents and was really relatable.
Why on earth the R2 bosses decided to butcher the best show on the station and leave Steve Wright untouched is utterly beyond me.
Also I miss listening to Jamie Cullum at 7 on Tuesdays - great for tidying up after tea.
I might actually complain too. I'm trying to stick with it but it's awful. And I've tried to change stations to 'vote with my feet' as it were, but it feels like I'm betraying both of them!

I hate the new show! I can’t stamd listening to jo, I hated her radio 1 show and she’s wrecked drive time! Who wants to listen to chat about the best song off an album etc on drive time?? Urgh so dull

Well that was a downbeat drive home; an extended whispery interview with Judy Murray and Jo's 'track' of choice, When Doves Cry. It's 5.30 and I'm happy to be leaving work. Don't depress me so.

Annoyed again tonight. They're playing so much music. I don't want wall to wall music and I certainly don't want tracks. I want banter and distraction. If I'm going to listen to music, I may as well put on a CD.

Signed petition. My heart sinks when I leave work now. The new show is absolutely rubbish. Simon’s show was great; upbeat, interesting and engaging. Pitched just right for the drive home. I can’t bear Jo Whiley, that interview with Craig David yesterday bored me to tears. Leave Simon alone and change bloody Steve Wright!

I agree. When life hacks (wtf?) came on I said 'where's homework?!' Then I heard ds2 shout 'what!!?? Homework??!!' From the sitting room!

I loved the Simon Mayo show, and bizarrely liked the Jo show when driving to pick up son from swimming, both shows were right for their time slots. Now they have crossed over - Poor Simon has to work until 8pm!! - and it's not working ... yet.

Listened today and just kept shouting at the radio, 'Shut up JO!!!' Simon can hardly get a word in edgeways, she is just drivelling on. Not sure I can face tuning in tomorrow.

Never thought I'd be so upset about a radio show.
