Would you be pissed off if your partner went to one of these sleazy places? Am I overreacting to be pissed off about dh going to one when he knew I'd be cross about it ? I'm not hopping mad but I'm certainly very unimpressed!

What does ‘letting off steam’ entail exactly?

Rapid hand movements and Kleenex.

Mightymucks Grin

Love to see all these blokes who thinks it's ok react if the shoe was on the other foot.

gawdsake · 30/04/2018 20:14

Letting off steam = getting out the house for a bit whilst she looks after the littleun, having a baby is stressful, blokes need a release from all of that

Ok then Dave. Not sure your posts are genuine now.

SmileEachDay · 30/04/2018 20:18

I think Dave is the perfect advert for Wingz.

If Dave was real, I’d buy him a Wingz t shirt.

Gilead · 30/04/2018 20:18

So, Homebrew does your missus get to see the Chippendales or suchlike to let off a little steam or is that likely to undermine your masculinity and beer belly?

imweirdandcool · 30/04/2018 20:19

so is the food at least good

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 30/04/2018 20:20

Yes. Of course. Picking through a pile of chicken wings and leering at the women 'enjoying your company' in Hooters sounds fairly grim.

If 'she' exists, then she has my sympathy.

tierraJ · 30/04/2018 20:20

Really must open a restaurant called 'Hot Bums' featuring men in tight boxers delivering your delicious chicken wings.

Don't worry it will be family friendly!!

gawdsake · 30/04/2018 20:20

He has to have the right amount of cleavage on show though Smile. Plus he needs to wear 50 denier "Suntan" tights don't forget.

Can't wait to slap his pert lil ass in those skimpy shorts whilst he pours my beer!

SmileEachDay · 30/04/2018 20:21

imweird

I hear the wingz are excellent. And Mill be along in a mo with further reason to go there.....

gawdsake · 30/04/2018 20:22

Loving the Hot Bumz idea! Though my moral conscience wouldn't agree with it irl.

gawdsake · 30/04/2018 20:23

Lol ahhh yes not forgetting the convenience of the near by hotel Wink

lalalaloopy · 30/04/2018 20:23

When is "peak season" please, just so we are forewarned and can keep the DHs indoors? 😂😂

Have you seen a doctor about this rapid ageing problem? Please tell me it’s contagious!

gawdsake · 30/04/2018 20:24

Pmsl I don't wanna hear about the Wingz! I'm all about the Bunz!

NormskiNamechange · 30/04/2018 20:31

HomebrewDave - you almost had me but I think you over-egged the pudding with your last post.

littlepill · 30/04/2018 20:38

The men on this thread 😂
Diversity!!! 😂😆🤣

Would you like your wives to work there? 🤣 Daughters? 😲

kitcatdog · 30/04/2018 20:39

YABU

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 30/04/2018 20:41

tierraJ I bet those young hot men will just love all the middle age women chatting with them making them laugh and even giving them some advice on their love life and financial affairs

Oh wait a minute i don’t know or have met any women that would even think of this as entertaining or a fun night out

WomaninGreen · 30/04/2018 20:43

There are posters taking their children to Hooters.

And not because it's close to the hotel amirite Grin

So, because...no, I'm stuck on "but whyyyyyyy."
Also wondering how some girls feel about their parents taking them to hooters. I'd have known to be freaked out at a very young age....six maybe?

midnightmisssuki · 30/04/2018 20:44

It’s a restaurant. I’ve seen teenagers with less clothes on.

OutofSyncGirl · 30/04/2018 20:45

YANBU I agree that Hooters is a brand that openly objectifies women and therefore should be the last place I would take children.

littlepill · 30/04/2018 20:45

Doesn’t make it right, just cos you’ve seen it Grin

HomebrewDave · 30/04/2018 20:48

Yeah but the girls there are hardly forced into it, they love it.

Correct me if I’m wrong but we’re in 2018 not 1918.

It’s a good laugh, had by all, lighten up :/

OutofSyncGirl · 30/04/2018 20:49

‘At Hooters, you'll find craveable food and wings, cold beer, sports, and of course, Hooters Girls’

So they are quite clearly using the fact that they employ women in skimpy outfits to attract customers.

I really don’t see how it’s relevant that women in nightclubs wear less or more revealing outfits or whatever. Since that is their choice. When it’s one of the main selling points of a brand it’s a different matter entirely.
