MY DD 4 year old said I didn't need to get her anything for her birthday because she thought we couldn't afford it.

I am sobbing. Kids are just so lovely.

My eldest DS can be a tantrum throwing grump sometimes but always comes out with little gems. He bought me a valentines card (you buy cards for people you love the most on v.day) and wrote in it ‘I love you so much I don’t even know how to say it’.

Also when my grandad died he was upset and then later on I saw him silently crying. He was worried that my Gran would be lonely and wanted to make sure she was ok.

@Eminybob my dd does this. It's heart breaking sometimes, but I think they genuinely think they can only love 1 person at a time lol. I just say to my dd "oh, that's ok but mummy loves you"

DS1 25 told me he would happily take me to a gig with him and his mates when I said how great an atmosphere it looked in his whatsapp video to me of the last one he went to. he was a nightmare to bring up but turned human at around 22 and now talks to me and his dad about everything, including how awful he was when younger, he has thanked us for sticking with him and ' making him who he is today' we are so proud of him. also how well he and his brother 22 get on, they live away from home at opposite ends of the country to each other but often get together for weekends, gigs etc.

These are all lovely!

I was poorly the other day, viral infection and migraine. When I had to be sick, he never left my side and stroked and patted my back. Then copied the puking noises I had made which made me laugh out loud Grin

DS is only 10mo old. He’s learning how to cuddle. I’m a single mum, I work full time, am still in the grip of PND, life is busy, but those seconds where he doing his own thing, having a play and just decides to lay his head in my chest make my day. I’m so looking forward to holding hands.
