MY DD 4 year old said I didn't need to get her anything for her birthday because she thought we couldn't afford it.

My DS told me he wants to be an Astronaut but he's going to come home for tea every day or he'd miss me too much

Lariflete · 27/04/2018 22:25

I had been clearing out the loft and found a few things that I thought that DD would like. I gave her them and she wrote me a note saying thank you for the things you thought I would like. I love them but not as much as I love you.
DS is full of mischief but whenever he gets tired, he snuggles into me and puts his hand on my collarbone for skin-to-skin contact.
They are the sweetest kids and I just didn't ever realise how much I would love them.

When I took my son (2yrs) swimming for the first time , i was feeling slightly self conscious and all lumpy and bumpy in my swimsuit. He looked up at me and said 'Oh, mummy you look beautiful!' :D

When my almost 5 yo accidentally caught me crying 1 day exhausted from having to fight for everything medical wise for her and she comes upto me with a tissue and says "no cry mummy, I be ok".
She says stuff that's really sweet/caring all the time but that 1 really stuck with me

AmericanBiscuits · 27/04/2018 22:36

My DS has started properly hugging and kissing me and it's literally like heaven on earth to get a cuddle and a sweet kiss from my little Roppy. 😍

Marmablade · 27/04/2018 22:37

DD2.10 today was wearing a tiger mask. She roared and I pretended to be scared. She took the mask off straight away looking concerned, gave me a big cuddle and said "It's OK Mummy it's not a real tiger" Love my little girl!

Justwanttoweeinpeace · 27/04/2018 22:40

My Mother's Day card had 'I love you' written on it.

He must have decided what he wanted to say, asked his key worker to draw it out for him, copied it out and stuck it on the card. He's only four.

It made my heart burst. Grin

My 8 year old got home from his first school residential today and after babbling for 2 hours solid about all the amazing things they did made me lie in his bed with him for a hug 🤗. Also his big brother gave him a big hug and told him he loves him before going out to football training. They’ll be fighting again tomorrow I’m sure...

Eminybob · 27/04/2018 22:42

3 year old dstild me the other day that he loves me “so much” and I’m the best mummy in the whole wide world.

Which was nice as he had been in a phase of saying he doesn’t love me he only loves daddy Hmm

Eminybob · 27/04/2018 22:42

helpconfused · 27/04/2018 22:44

My nearly 3 year old often just turns to me and smiles and says "mummy I'm so happy" and it gets me every time!

Tryingoutanothername · 27/04/2018 22:49

My dd when she was little, made us a card saying 'thankyou for confidence and pets'. 😀

kaytee87 · 27/04/2018 22:52

My almost 2 year old kisses and cuddles me so much at bedtime that it melts my heart 💓

mancmummy1414 · 27/04/2018 22:56

My two year old said to me ‘mummy you’re my favourite, and baby is mummy’s favourite’ Halo

Badwifey · 27/04/2018 22:56

My 3 yr old girl told me I was "sparkly and beautiful" then planted a big kiss on me 😍

SweetheartNeckline · 27/04/2018 22:58

My 4 year old wanted us to buy a semi rather than a detached house so she can buy the one next door when she's a grown up.

My 6 year old loves me because "you're soft and always there. "

plominoagain · 27/04/2018 23:00

When my 3 oldest were at primary school together , they used to troop into the gates together , then have a spontaneous group hug every morning , before going to their respective classrooms , no matter how much they had been scowling at each other over the Rice Krispies ten minutes earlier .

When DS3 managed to get himself trapped in a school bench , the only thing that kept him calm till the fire brigade ( and I ) arrived , was his two brothers staying with him and trying to make him laugh to distract him . They were 8 , 7 and 5 at the time .

Underbrella · 27/04/2018 23:02

DS1 (4) was fantasising about all the things he could do when he was a grown-up (climbing on the furniture etc). I said that when he had his own house he could choose to do that. It hadn't occurred to him he wouldn't live with me forever & he promptly burst into tears ❤️.

My mum had recently passed away & my Dad was on his first solo visit to us. When he was about to leave for the train to go home DS2 (6) came in unprompted with his chocolate Easter bunny & gave it to Grandad. Such a sweetie ❤️

These are all so beautiful. DGD (aged 2) was watching a video
about baby pandas. There were about 6 tiny pandas being put in a crib together. Once they were all in and the keeper had got them settled DGD said to DD “but who
Will stroke them?”. If we see a dog or a cat out and about she always asks who will stroke them. Like she knows that being stroked is nice and makes you feel safe so wants reassurance that these animals will be comforted. I just find it so touching. Also she says hello to any animal or insect she sees. Maybe she will be a vet who
Knows.

whensitmyturn · 27/04/2018 23:17

9 year old ds got in my bed this morning and kissed me on the cheek and said I never kiss you anymore so I thought you might need one.

Wednesday night I was chatting with 11 year old dd and showing her some funny film clips when she just turned to me and said mum you're my best friend.

Worked so much this week feel like I haven't seen them much so it was lovely to hear.

SM2132 · 28/04/2018 09:14

My teenage son after an argument over homework before school muttered under his breath 'I hate you'...after school he came in and gave me a hug, gave me a bar of chocolate he had bought on the way home and said 'sorry for being in a mood, even if I ever lose my temper and say I hate you, you know I always love you'.
He will make someone a good husband one day!

traceyvi · 28/04/2018 11:09

My grandson lost his 1st tooth this week I asked what he would do with the money he quickly replied "that's easy Nanna I will wait until they've all fallen out and use the money to buy your Christmas present" what a little sweetie
