It's tipped to be the new prince's name. I know we're all supposed to love old men's names but Arthur is just too awful.

Come on Kate & Will - you know you want to call him Milo or Ryan. Just do it!

I'm holding out for Peorge. Since they already used the most obvious choice for their firstborn. And then when William is king, he can re-designate 23rd April as St Peorge's Day

I love everything about this post Grin

He’s going to be called Richard.

But the press will call him Dickie.

FizzyGreenWater · 24/04/2018 16:14

No because that's Harry's proper name. That's really a bit close! That and Charles are surely properly out for a first name. I can see Henry Charles being used as middle names, although perhaps not Charles as they don't get on with him as I recall.

GemmaB78 · 24/04/2018 16:14

To go with his brother and the date, I REALLY want it to be Draco.....

lilybetsy · 24/04/2018 16:15

Frederick William Michael (after her father) Not Charles (Charlotte is already named for him) or possibly Arthur William Michael

HoneyDragon · 24/04/2018 16:15

Also those commenting on how awful posters on this thread are, have you ever been on the baby names thread but at all? They make AIBU look positively fluffy in comparison!

FizzyGreenWater · 24/04/2018 16:15

Yes Richard could be a possibility.

But it really could be Arthur. Doesn't sound right somehow though.

Arthur Henry Michael

Arthur Philip James

FizzyGreenWater · 24/04/2018 16:17

Peorge, yes.

Or:

Louxander

Kingry Charlard Alexames

Frisco Beans

HoneyDragon · 24/04/2018 16:17

It’s not a possibility. I’m telling you it’s Richard. The Queen will go for it as Attenborough is totes her bestie.

FunkyHeroCat · 24/04/2018 16:17

I know lots of Arthurs from my kids schools! It definitely isn't an old man's name. I quite like it too Blush

He definitely can't be a Prince Albert Grin

CoffeeOrSleep · 24/04/2018 16:18

Arthur is lovely name! I know a few little Arties, they are all super cute!

Philip is one that actually sounds like an "old man name" now, the Arthur/George types sound like toddlers.

Agree they can't be so cruel to name him Prince Albert....

formerbabe · 24/04/2018 16:19

I hope it will be Louis or Alexander. Classic but a little less old man and traditional.

Treaclepie19 · 24/04/2018 16:19

So true @HoneyDragon
Someone said they hoped I didn't have a boy. I did, but was definitely scared off the name 😂 (Not that they'd have liked his name anyway!)

LapdanceShoeshine · 24/04/2018 16:19

They could use James, because Edward's son isn't a Prince. (& Catherine's brother is James...)

Same for Frederick, because Freddie Windsor is 'only' a Lord.

Or they could just juggle with George's names & call him Louis Alexander George Grin

VanillaPriscilla · 24/04/2018 16:20

Frederick Arthur Louie

ShweShwe · 24/04/2018 16:20

Apparently the bookies have had no interest in the name Boris. Which is a surprise.

Grin
Kpo58 · 24/04/2018 16:20

Harold would be a good name or maybe Æthelred.

LapdanceShoeshine · 24/04/2018 16:20

wrong Attenborough, @HoneyDragon Grin

FizzyGreenWater · 24/04/2018 16:21

Frederick is good.

However I still prefer Frisco Beans.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 24/04/2018 16:21

I really like James (for a boy, call me old-fashioned Wink).

As well as Edward's son, isn't Kate's brother also called James?

TheJoyOfSox · 24/04/2018 16:21

I like Arthur, but I knew a young chap who was called Arthur and he was so sweet.(kwik-save 1980s, if you know him say hello)
I’ve come across worse names than Arthur, it’s a sturdy, British name, much nicer than Wayne Rooneys son names.
If a young mum was on here saying “friends hate the name we chose for our new baby” you’d all be piling in to tell @QueenOneDay “Stick to your guns, it’s your baby”

FizzyGreenWater · 24/04/2018 16:21

Canute Cambridge

Kpo58 · 24/04/2018 16:21

I'd love to see the Queen's reaction if they suggested calling the baby something like Wayne.

Armi · 24/04/2018 16:21

Genghis has a certain ring to it. Or Attila.

BlueSapp · 24/04/2018 16:21

Definatly prefer Fredrick to Arthur (when i hear it i always think of the little cartoon hamster Grin)

curiouserand · 24/04/2018 16:22

Not Arthur.

It's David Cameron's son's name.

Which is an excellent reason to dislike it as a name.

Copying the Cameron's is not a good look.
