It's tipped to be the new prince's name. I know we're all supposed to love old men's names but Arthur is just too awful.

Come on Kate & Will - you know you want to call him Milo or Ryan. Just do it!

A very thoughtful and sensitive post. My name is Arthur. So nice to read a post saying how awful my name is. Thank you.

SevenStones · 25/04/2018 20:30

Ernest Augustus Albert to continue Hanoverian theme.

DagenhamRoundhouse · 25/04/2018 20:39

I'd go for Dwayne or Tremaine.

dementedma · 25/04/2018 20:44

James Philip Henry - or any combination thereof.
alexander as an outsider

Well I think Arthur is a lovely name and very suitable for a royal. 👍 from me!

caringcarer · 25/04/2018 20:52

I think they will call him Alfred Philip and he could be known as Alfie.

MyNameIsArthur · 25/04/2018 20:54

Thank you Woolly

lalalalyra · 25/04/2018 20:56

If it's Louis will it be pronounced Lewis or Lewie? I'm never sure

Earl Mountbatten and his father (Philip's grandfather) were Lewie so I'd assume that if it was used.

SevenStones · 25/04/2018 20:56

The Evans father would milk it like nobody's business if they did and the whole AA would use it for their own ends.

SevenStones · 25/04/2018 20:57

Arthur - Arthur is a lovely name, so glad it's on the up again!

RoseWhiteTips · 25/04/2018 20:57

Hayden. God, this wait is so unnecessary.

BettyPitts · 25/04/2018 20:57

It will be John

JacintaJones · 25/04/2018 20:57

I think Prince John has a nice sound to it.

JacintaJones · 25/04/2018 20:58

Epic cross post there!

Sure to be John now Grin

SevenStones · 25/04/2018 20:58

I quite like John. But is that one of the ones with terrible connotations?

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 25/04/2018 20:59

John would be really lovely.

LapdanceShoeshine · 25/04/2018 21:01

The last Prince John (brother of Edward VIII & George VI) had epilepsy & died very young Sad

SunwheretheFareyou · 25/04/2018 21:02

Noo not john sounds awful! Unless johnie.

No. And why the obsession with Philip?! Why would they want to include great grandpa name?

SevenStones · 25/04/2018 21:02

That's why I would like John, to remember that particular John. But I'm sure someone last night said because of earlier, nastier, Johns, they wouldn't choose it.

MinkMonk80 · 25/04/2018 21:03

My son is called Arthur. It's a fantastic name. Far TOO GOOD for a Windsor baby. So there!

lalalalyra · 25/04/2018 21:09

King John wasn't the nicest.

I think part of the superstition comes from the fact that Prince John was called after his father's brother Prince Alexander John who died as an infant. So two young John's in a row died young.

JacintaJones · 25/04/2018 21:10

Oh I didn't know the history of poor little prince John.

I do hope they choose it to honour his memory, and because it is a great name.

QueenOfMyWorld · 25/04/2018 21:15

I think it will be james

diodati · 25/04/2018 21:16

Jimbo!

diodati · 25/04/2018 21:17

James or John. Love both.
