....asks someone to remove Kay Burley or at least lob a shoe at her head from her labour suite?

To the PP who said Kate's fertility would have to be checked before she was allowed to marry into the royal family.. what if it was the man who had the problem?

BasilFaulty · 23/04/2018 17:18

YANBU - I'm watching it now and her smile seems to fade so quickly after arriving, it's almost psychotic and now I've noticed it I can't stop Confused

LuluJakey1 · 23/04/2018 17:21

I was in overnight after DS but walked into the village and back with DH and DS the day after - we went home, hadlunch and a walk. DD I went home same day but it was evenng. We went out the next day though for a walk.

chills32045 · 23/04/2018 17:22

I have been thinking the same! Is she drunk?
She's always interrupting people and so awkward!

treeofhearts · 23/04/2018 17:27

Doesn't Kate use MN? Come on Kate, there must be a few shoes you don't like? Dodgy pair of booties from the Inlaws? Take aim!

VanillaSugar · 23/04/2018 17:41

Have they left the hospital yet? I’d check the news but I CBA.

Rememory · 23/04/2018 17:50

Not yet

blackteasplease · 23/04/2018 17:56

I think it's a small price to pay for all the ways in which their life is made much easier and considerably less full of worry than the average person.

So yabu from me.

If you think of the hardships some people go through then I don't think this is so awful.

Plus Kate did have the chance not to marry into that family even if she was deeply in love. It wasn't something she was stuck with from birth.

agentdaisy · 23/04/2018 17:59

I could have walked out of hospital just fine a few hours after having all of my children. With my first I left hospital 6 hours after giving birth in the middle of the night, called at a shop and bought some tiny baby sleep suits that wouldn't drown tiny dc1, visited my parents and in-laws, then went home and had a takeaway dinner. The next day we went shopping at the nearest shopping centre for some more tiny baby clothes. I was walking funny for a few minutes after going to the toilet thanks to a massive graze but otherwise I was fine, didn't have any afterpains.

I was fine after having my other dcs too, just more tired from having other young dcs to look after. I did have really bad afterpains and very heavy bleeding with the other dcs though. Looking back at the photos I looked knackered but okay, with someone to do my hair and makeup I'd have been okay to face cameras, not that I'd have wanted to.

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/04/2018 18:05

The red dress was probably a wise choice!

Ohmydayslove · 23/04/2018 18:08

Well she is a massive dog lover is Kay so that’s a point in her favour.

8ib 7 is a tiddler! My heaviest was 101b 3 get on Grin

lovemylover · 23/04/2018 18:12

My ex picked me up from hospital the day after i had my twins and took me to the pub, his second home, all i wanted to do was go home to bed
Twins had to stay in until normal birth weight

Spudlet · 23/04/2018 18:15

I waddled out fine about 8 hours afterwards. I had bad PGP at the end of my pregnancy and it took a few weeks to clear, hence hobbling a bit - though much less than when I went in. It was also gone midnight, which didn't help matters!

But given a bit of hair and makeup I'd have been ok - although I sure as hell wouldn't have been in heels. Smart flats all the way for the Duchess of Spudshire.

Ohmydayslove · 23/04/2018 18:15

in awe

Er really come on. Most of us leave the same day or the next day with other kids to care for. I had 6.

Shopping cooking and cleaning to do and up night and day.

Imagine maids, nannies, cooks, cleaners, school run sorted and you just lie in bed feeding and sleeping. Of course night nanny does the night feeds.

Fuck me how bloody wonderful

user5292769 · 23/04/2018 18:17

How does the nanny do the night feeds if you're breastfeeding? I assume she is breastfeeding.

Tink2007 · 23/04/2018 18:24

blackteasplease Your comment wasn’t relevant to what was put in the OP? Nothing about Kate, the lifestyle with which the child will be bought up in, literally was about Kay Burley.

Vanillasuger they’ve left now and gone home.

Kate looked lovely, I wonder how long she waits before getting changed at home, and what she puts on. And what she does!? Does she go straight to bed.... oh so many questionsSmile

OneStepSideways · 23/04/2018 18:35

Would love to know what you ladies who had natural deliveries think. Would you have been able to stroll outside, holding new baby, within about 5 hours of delivery?

I was up and about within an hour of giving birth (I had some tears but not a great deal of bleeding, no worse than a heavy period). I was so ecstatic that my agonising labour was over I felt very lively. I had a shower, washed my hair, put make up on for the photos. Dh on the other hand looked traumatised! The pain kicked in a few days later when the adrenaline wore off!

Mrsmadevans · 23/04/2018 18:40

Kate looked wonderful very healthy and happy. The baby looks like William espesh from the side imho.

MedicinalGin · 23/04/2018 18:43

I’m always amazed that anyone can tell who it looks like - to me they all just look like babies. Gorgeous though, all of them. I love newborns

redfragglebiker · 23/04/2018 18:43

@babychamsocialist - had my first in December at 9lb 13oz. Hug your Mum for me! GrinShock

PurpleTraitor · 23/04/2018 18:43

I was up and about immediately after my babies were born - really immediately, they weren’t born in a bed, and I didn’t go to bed afterward because it was the middle of the day and that would have felt strange. One was born when I was standing up Grin so yes I just basically had a baby and then continued with my day - with lots of extra visitors and baby gazing of course. Longer walks of 30-60 minutes were done at less than 24 hours but could have been done earlier, just didn’t have a particular reason to. I remember taking my day old baby for a walk to show her the sky, she didn’t give a shit Grin

Childminder · 23/04/2018 19:33

I had a 9.8 and 4 days later I was in John Lewis buying a pushchair, I had a 9.12 a year later and was also home and looking after them both in 3 days. I could have gone home the same day, but I knew it was the only time I would have the second one to myself. No stitches or tear with either, gas and air only.

augustusglupe · 23/04/2018 19:38

I had a completely natural delivery with DD nearly 30 years ago.
I got to the hospital at 6.30am and she was born at 9.15.
Physically I could’ve gone home that evening, but glad I didn’t have to.
