....asks someone to remove Kay Burley or at least lob a shoe at her head from her labour suite?

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 23/04/2018 13:27

I'd love to see her leave in a dressing gown and big fluffy slippers :o

StealthPolarBear · 23/04/2018 13:28

I could stroll outside holding a baby after five hours (well after dd, after ds I had pulled a muscle on my leg). I couldn't fasten my maternity trousers but I'm sure no one would spot that!

Hoppinggreen · 23/04/2018 13:28

I had a difficult time with dd but still walked out of hospital in my non maternity jeans . I was pretty pale but if someone had come to do my hair and make up I would have looked pretty good
With DS I had an epidural and still walked out 6 hours later, again with professional help I could have faced the press

sleepyhead · 23/04/2018 13:31

I was walking like a cowboy after ds1, but I was absolutely fine after ds2 so could have managed a few minutes walking out to a car and a bit of waving.

Especially if I had a load of people around to do anything I didn't fancy doing for myself. The easiest bit of having a newborn was when I had dh and my mum running around getting drinks and helping out. Not so much fun 10 days in when dh went back to work and it was all on me between 8am and 6pm.

@Rafflesway anyone who wants to marry into the royal family has their fertility checked before they are allowed to do so as they are suppose to produce heirs. I also presume that the women have their birthing ability checked out as well.

(Apparently a few other extremely rich/aristocratic families do fertility checks before they allow outsiders to marry in as well. )

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/04/2018 13:36

The white dress after Charlotte was a brave choice but let's face it, she's only outside for about 10 mins max and will be wearing industrial strength pants and about 3 maternity pads, so she'll be fine!

scampimom · 23/04/2018 13:36

I wasn't able to stand for several days after natural birth, and struggled with walking for another 3-4 weeks. I looked like a dropped pie after having DD, I'm very glad no-one was there to see me!

Shame they've already used the name George, btw! What will they call him, George II? Smile

SunwheretheFareyou · 23/04/2018 13:37

Kay just said... Healthy little beastConfused

JessieMcJessie · 23/04/2018 13:37

Are you getting bored out there in your tent waiting for them to come out Mandielee?

SamanthaBrique · 23/04/2018 13:38

Is that actually true though, or just an urban legend? I have heard though, that the Queen's gynae examined Diana before she was married and confirmed she was a virgin. I really hope that story isn't true!

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/04/2018 13:39

What will they call him, George II?

Well George III would be madness...

MrsJayy · 23/04/2018 13:39

Watch another channel Kay is a total fruit loop although Eve Polard is on Itv saying Charlotte weirdly who makes these people royal experts

londonmummy1966 · 23/04/2018 13:41

Another drain on the taxpayer, eh? Why do these people keep on having children they expect the rest of us to pay for?

MorningsEleven · 23/04/2018 13:47

Shame they've already used the name George, btw! What will they call him, George II?

George Foreman has loads of kids and all the boys are called George. There's George Jr then Georges III, IV, V and VI.

I'm fascinated by George Foreman.

howthelightgetsin · 23/04/2018 13:50

Surely that cannot be true re: fertility checks? And if true could only be a relatively recent thing, I don’t know what on earth they would have checked a few generations a go.
Also what would they even check? Just egg reserves? What does that even tell you? You can still have loads of problems that random checks pre TTC wouldn’t unveil.

I find it very hard to believe that William would have put his girlfriend of a decade through that before marrying her.

IggyAce · 23/04/2018 13:51

@Raffles I walked out of hospital just over 6 hours after dc2. I was far from glamorous (hair pulled back, maternity jeans, t-shirt and jacket) but I'm sure I could have been made to look glamorous with the help of a hairdresser and makeup artist.

Bluelady · 23/04/2018 13:51

Given that the entire Royal family costs each of us about 65p a year, an extra child is hardly going to make any difference. Why do people have to be so miserable when we get a rare bit of good news?

Yorkshirebetty · 23/04/2018 13:52

Apart from looking glamorous on the steps a couple of hours after pushing out an 8 and a half pounder, Kate will probably be back to her normal size for Harry and Meghan's wedding, looking svelte and cool!

Rafflesway · 23/04/2018 13:53

Wish I could watch Kay B just to follow all these hilarious comments.

DH - who is obviously madly interested 🙄 - is engrossed with some mountain men or something on the firestick.

Must admit I too thought it was a girl but lovely news whatever. I shall be watching the Duchess intently as she departs from hospital just to check she isn't walking like Sleepyhead Grin. (Still think it's unfair massive pressure though and feel she and the new baby should be allowed to leave by the private exit at least on the day of delivery. Surely everyone can wait a day or so to see her and the new baby.)

howthelightgetsin · 23/04/2018 13:55

I could probably have done 10 mins on a step a few hours after giving birth. I felt very faint until the next day but some food and lots of make up would have done the job. I then would have pretty much collapsed in the car, but I could have done a quick photocall.

Rafflesway · 23/04/2018 13:59

Iggy and you similar ladies, I salute you. I was like someone who had been crucified for 24 hours following c section as I had a drip in each arm and those bloody awful long elasticated stockings on. Good God, I would have scared the nation half to death with my luscious appearance. Grin

I was thinking the same as you Howthelight but none of the royal ladies ever seem to have any problems at all. 🤔

doodlejump1980 · 23/04/2018 13:59

Anyone else think that she probably went in a couple of days ago, had him, recovered and this is birth+2 days. How else (apart from stylist etc) does she do it?
