Another vote for escapism. I was in the police for a decade and have dealt with enough death, blood, murder, violence, hatred and sadness for a lifetime.

I choose not to watch horror or violent films, and like to see quietly happy films for a bit of relief from my memories, regrets and sadness in my life.

I don't understand why people judge because I like Moana, The Incredibles or WallE. Weird.

Well I was agreeing about infantilised adults in this thread because it does seem strange at times 🤔but then remembered I absolutely love sticker books. You know when you have to collect the packs, they're numbered and you fill them in. Bloody love them.

I think I out-stickered my dd when the last Harry Potter one was out Blush. She was only about 10 poor girl.

Ive never particularly liked cartoons— mainly because the majority are v violent but am ok about those who do watching them as long as they don’t expect me to join them. It’s just great that people can have all manner of likes and interests which they’re free to indulge as long as they don’t impinge in others rights and meet their DCs needs first.
However, I’m not above surreptitiously giggling at what I would regard as eccentricities.
