To say Dh’s farts spoiled our day out?

Yesterday we went on a family day out to a historical building. The children are at an age where they really enjoy this sort of place and particularly love history.

We spent the day looking around the buildings and listening to speakers, enjoying artwork, reading plaques and taking photographs etc.

However I feel the day was interrupted by Dh’s noxious gas. God knows what he’d eaten but my goodness it was so embarrassing. We kept having to move on quickly due to the smell. He doesn’t usually emit quite such a foul stench and I appreciate he did need the loo and couldn’t help it.

Aibu to say his farts really did spoil the ambiance and concentration required of the venue? He says he couldn’t help it and so IABU.

Sometimes I reread this whole thread just for fun and cry laughing every time

I think you are being silly saying it ruined the day but it makes me so annoyed when my husband farts right near other people and it stinks instead of just waiting till no ones around. He says he literally cant hold it in.

They all say that but I bet if they’re in an important work meeting they manage to hold it in.

And if he genuinely can’t he needs to go to the doctors.

I made my DH change diet because I was fed up of the house smelling of farts. It was disgusting and used to really get me down, I couldn’t have friends round or anything

He then did it in a pod on the London Eye with another family in it and was one of the nails in the coffin for his dw. They are now divorced.
