If the council in Windsor wanting to clear homeless out ?

I mean why don't the royal couple open a shelter instead given they are 'humanitarian' ?

Done her duty

SaltireSaltire · 13/04/2018 19:49

SukiTheDog
I’m sure the huge list of people who do selfless (unpaid) work in the community , and some of whom were ‘rewarded’ by being invited to stand outside the wedding 🙄🙄, could offer up an old lady and some 30 somethings to cut a ribbon or two!

SaltireSaltire · 13/04/2018 19:51

Don’t forget - Andrew’s daughter is getting married next and he has always claimed taxpayers should fund his kids security. Another big wedding we will be paying for.

The80sweregreat · 13/04/2018 19:52

A few were on the one show last night - ‘ we got an invite to the wedding , but we’ve got to bring a hamper or a cool bag’. Right.

The80sweregreat · 13/04/2018 19:53

More money for Andrews kids! It’s never ending. They could pay their own bills! I have to. No wonder people are fed up.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 13/04/2018 20:11

I would not be the slightest bit surprised if there is either a) some sort of scandal involving Ms. Markle within a couple of years

Isn't her half sister supposed to be writing some sort of tell-all book? And her ex husband making a TV "comedy" involving someone who's dumped for a prince?

It may be just silly gossip of course, but if it's not I can't see the Windsors being too thrilled about any of that

biscuitraider · 13/04/2018 20:13

I think i hate Andrew more than the rest of them put together. Pay for your own daughters security you money grabbing, shifty leech. The taxpayers owe you nothing.

Thisisnotreallymyname · 13/04/2018 20:25

The fact the bleedin Beckhams are going is enough for me to tune out.

Sara107 · 13/04/2018 20:34

I thought I saw a figure of £24 million quoted for the security and thought perhaps I'ld got it wrong, but I see others quoting similar figures in this thread. What on earth costs that much?? For example, I have just googled and apparently the London Met paid £6.7 million in 2017 to police football matches. That is two matches a week for a number of the biggest clubs in the country, with 10's of thousands of spectators for an entire season. And one wedding, on one day costs 5 times more? This has made me quite curious, as you often see it reported that the royal family don't cost much at all ( relatively!).

BattleaxeGalactica · 13/04/2018 20:37

The only good thing to be said for the prospect of King Charles is it's not King Andrew. Ghastly, grabby, weaselly thing with a taste for dodgy friends and apparently a teflon coating.

The80sweregreat · 13/04/2018 20:39

Williams bill for security at his wedding came to 20 mill in 2011. I remember someone saying it and it was all funded by us. 24 must be about right for this.

Katchit · 13/04/2018 20:40

Pointless thread really. My local council does many things i disapprove of and some i dont. Either way its not my decision.

Smacks of an anarchists post.

Teacher22 · 13/04/2018 21:00

I live near Windsor and it is my shopping centre. After all the fuss about homeless people I took a walk about to view the situation for myself. There are about six people on the street taking up an inordinate amount of space with huge amounts of bedding and possessions. I would say half are ‘out of it’ on drugs or drink and who need to be taken out of the freezing weather for their own safety. There is one chap who is a political activist who is making mischief who could be arrested and moved on. A couple are pan handlers with lives and homes elsewhere who have chosen Windsor because it is a rich town with a throughput population of tourists who spend about a £100 a day to be there. One chap brings in his pet rabbit to elicit donations. These are cheeky so and sos who need to be removed on the basis of existing vagrancy laws.

SaltireSaltire · 13/04/2018 21:06

six people on the street taking up an inordinate amount of space with huge amounts of bedding and possessions = Elizabeth, Philip, Charles, Anne, Andrew, Edward
There is one chap who is a political activist who is making mischief = Charles
A couple are pan handlers with lives and homes elsewhere who have chosen Windsor = Elizabeth and Philip

SaltireSaltire · 13/04/2018 21:08

Either way its not my decision - actually it is. Its the choice you get when voting

The80sweregreat · 13/04/2018 21:09

Saltire / that made me laugh!

CelticSelkie · 13/04/2018 21:18

75% of queen's children's marriages ended in divorce. Doubt sophie and edward will get divorced somehow.

Even if Meghan and harry don't make it, it'd still be 50:50% for their generation (the two of them, william and harry) so massive improvement on queens children!

CelticSelkie · 13/04/2018 21:19

I suppose Fergie and Andy were the first conscious uncoupling! They really are friends though. So I believe.

ElliePhillips · 13/04/2018 21:32

Saltaire that made me laugh until I cried! Grin

ElliePhillips · 13/04/2018 21:33

Oops @SaltireSaltire

Ghanagirl · 13/04/2018 21:43

I love all this bitching regarding Megan it shows that England is still incredibly racist as all the shit thrown at Ms Markle is vindictive and petty!!

Katchit · 13/04/2018 21:56

Saltire, very funny 😁 but i was answering OPs post. Harry and Meghan do not want anybody moved on. Open a new thread if you want to take them on over charitable causes. OP has a cause against the local council, as do I. Wankers.

MissEliza · 13/04/2018 22:01

I'm from the area and I agree with Teacher.

SaltireSaltire · 13/04/2018 22:13

Problem would have been solved re homeless on the streets on the day if Megan and Harry invited them to the wedding.

The80sweregreat · 13/04/2018 22:16

Saltire - trouble is , they have to take their own cool bag or hamper and a blanket if they were granted an invite.
